I can't remember who is forecasting it, but some
research house is predicting ecommerce will represent 25% of the world economy by
2005. That's alot.

Let's do some research. That is Forrester Research.

And I've also bought jewelry online.
So I personally dispute that clothes and jewelry won't do well on the internet. They've
got my business. <G>)

I can't speak for your clothing but you are not a buyer of high end very fine jewelry<VBG> If you were, you would never buy that online.

CanynGirl - you make some great points esp re future pipe improvements. But catalog sales v. internet is much different. My experience trying to view clothing and other such articles on line has been very slow and frustrating (at about 45k speed). With a catalog you can flip the page to see a diff style.

Furthermore, the internet is still used by many more men (most of whom are not clothes shopping addicts) than women.
