Seems to me that the crowd, as represented by this thread, is already packing it in and leaving the party.

Seems to me you are misreading the posts. Many people here are fully invested as defined as being anywhere from 80% to 100% in stocks. Many people here may, like myself, be lightening up on the stock weighting, to perhaps the 60% to 70% area. For most people other than those on this thread being 60%-70% in stocks is a fully invested position. Further, there are many extremely bright people on this thread, examine my recently posted survey results on people who post here, I would not dismiss what they are doing.

Reminds me of market sentiment polls and how to interpret them. Many times the votes go one way and the actions the other. No offence to anyone here or elsewhere, it is just a fact of human nature.
