Well, yes, alcohol was involved. <g> If it hadn't been I might really have been mad instead of just mad. I dunno, Mel. It gets tiresome sometimes and I hate nights like taht. You go out with your buds and end up talking to an angry person. Not someone that gets mad about something but that's just plain angry about things, and who's uncomfortable with people that aren't like them to the point of not liking them. And theeeennn when they realize you really are just "hanging out" and have no plans to go home with them, or into the alley, or any such thing, they get all pissy. Sheeesh. If I got mad everytime I got turned down, I'd never be in a good mood.

I find this town odd in that way. It's a mellow place overall, it seems, but I've never had as many talks as I have here with deeply angry and bitter white men who get down right scary. I was very glad to be surrounded by friends. It's the third time in there that I've almost gotten into trouble by trying to have a conversation with someone that turned out to be dangerous.

On the positive side, I shot the best pool that I've shot since I've been here. I even gave T (an ace shooter) a run for his money. That was fun.

<<Do you have a place that is safe???

I must, I'm still here. The odds of getting hit are slim. Had one come down a mile from here last year and a couple of years ago I watched one start to drop coming right at the house then it went back up. They are really kind of cool to watch as long as your house isn't involved.
