You've been holding since 1995? That year was the first time I had ever heard of Quantum and a broker at Paine Webber was pushing the Quantum story about that time (I think it was trading around $21 and then sank to $15-17 or something like that.) Quantum had just purchased the tape business from Digital in December 1994 and I think the Street didn't initially like the acquisition. I remember the acquisition taking more time and money initially to be accretive. Wasn't the Digital tape unit called "McData" or something. I may have this confused with an EMC acquisition around that time. This story would have been nice to see in a few weeks. Maybe end of June or something. I still think that Meridian is a nice back-door to Quantum and tracking stock ownership. I think the stock could be volatile between now and August.
