If Ancor is giving warrants to purchase their stock as a kickback, they must not have much confidence on the future value of their stock.

On the other hand, if Sun Microsystems makes up to $100 million in purchases, the stock price will likely go up and Sun will get a return of up to $1.5 million for each dollar the Ancor stock goes up. With normal margins, Ancor should come out in good shape.
