Walt, OK, I'll succumb to idle speculation,Since 3com has a lot of what AT&T wants I wouldn't be surprised if T bought divisions and/or heavily partnered with coms. I'm excited abou this VOIP competitive win over Cisco.Palm and AT&T wireless ? Killer !BWDIK I think Eric's edge vision is right on target and their offerings support it. Don't forget what 3com stands for , Compatible computer communications ! IMHO we ought to let Eric Finnish <g> the job and take us back to $40 at least. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A FIGURE ERIC USED IN HIS RECENT INTERVIEW, (I forget the source but it is posted here on SI ) The solid financials and market leadership across almost all lines are further proof that this stock is undervalued. StockHouse: How does 3Com [COMS] look? Michael Murphy: Excellent. They have a May quarter, so it's over. They'll have their numbers out in about three weeks. They probably will not beat the street estimate this quarter, although I think they'll be able to come pretty close to matching it. They may try to beat it by a penny or something like that. But mainly they've started shipping the new Palm VII in New York, which has immediate access to the Internet over a wireless network. That product will sell very well, and really impact them going forward. Then they'll have audited numbers by about the end of June. That's when I think if there's going to be an acquisition here, which I still think there will be, it's likely to happen. The street estimate for the May quarter is $0.23 to $0.24.
