There is no comparison between the business of IIXL and that of HSAC other than they both came to market this week. On that basis, well then, 90 percent of IPO's trade below their offering price the first year - so that's nothing new. (In fact I bought XCIT for 6 and LCOS for 8 pre-split - obviously before anyone believed there was a market for more than one search engine.)

I buy very few IPO's for that reason (and I have the means to get them.) And with the market doing well there will be a lot of junk deals hitting the street - probably 300 bad to 100 good this year. The reason I think HSAC will do well is the simple fact they don't have to go looking for customers. They are set-up and ready to go into a market space now. They open the door, and money will gush in, plain and simple. The market for bandwidth is red hot. (unlike when I bought XCIT and LCOS, unfortunately, I think wall street knows this too, so I don't expect much of a dip.) Sure there is competition. So what. Customers are waiting in line to sign-up for ANY kind of speed they can get. The market is HUGE. High bandwidth is a gold mine - that's why the government wants to regulate it - doesn't matter - there is room for all.

Not to mention the fact that we are in very good company here. They have deals in the bag and the help they need to get more. I am not selling for at least a year. In fact if it dips at all I will get the additional 1000 shares FIDO didn't give me Thursday.
