I for one would like to start the "Tim Come Back Campaign".I realize Tim has left for a private site but it would be great to have him post occasionally.
We will form a committee to monitor the posters and if deemed necessary the committee will oust a poster for "conduct unbecoming of an SI member" All in favor please respond, thanks.Any ideas for the number on the committee please post, thanks.

I haven't seen anyone turn on Tim.
I never understood the mess.
I do see a lot of BS though.
Thinking about Laguna Beach though.
A couple of days off does sound nice.

It's Saturday evening. While I'm while waiting for my wife, I'll waste bandwidth and ask: What happened?

I follow SI and all I saw was a schoolyard spat between Tim and Jane. Jane apologized. Tim quit anyway. That's all?

I don't know Tim very well, but I'm sure there's more to it. Tim wrote several times in the last few weeks that he would be leaving. Perhaps he just wanted to go out with a fuss?

I would like to see him back, or at least leave without rancor, but in any case I wish him well.

Tom

As soon as something happens, they turn on him.

Nobody turned on him. He ran away and hid.

All that he has done is forgotten.

Wrong again! The world of investing is concerned about what will happen tomorrow, not what happened yesterday. Seems like he abandoned a bunch of wienies who foolishly depended on him for his trades. Must really piss him off to see that his thread seems ot be getting along without him.

All they care about is themselves and who will be the next to help them make more money.

And Tim was often mistaken for Mother Teresa.

I have only been lurking for 6 months, but understand that Tim has been the main support here for years.

Well, maybe the loudest voice....

Yes he has an ego...

Now you're talkin'!

We all need and like to know we are needed and appreciated.

Get yourself a goldfish. SI is for discussion of tech stocks.

That is not what this board has shown Tim in the past two days. Everyone should get in contact with their conscience.

Again I suggest you get a clue. Tim is not an idiot, and this little bit of defensive posturing was carefully choreographed. Your hero stuck his neck out on COMS and failed to inform his minions when he ducked out. I get the impression something similar happened with JACO. Then he really exposed himself with CS. When things failed to materialize (although the dance is far from over), he felt that he could be left hanging. After all, the smart ones were into CS under 10. He doesn't have that cushion in the 13s. So rather than admit that his "gut feel" style only really works in bull markets, he ran away. Why? Pick your reason. Blame it on Jane, who did nothing more than know how to respond to Tim's venom, or have a knack for pushing his button (doesn't take rocket science). Blame it on the idiots on Yahoo! If they're such idiots why would he care what they say? Unless maybe there was a grain of truth in some of those posts.

Wait till CS and the rest of the market settles a little. Wait till Glenn's site is up, and TL is not the centerpiece. Don't believe Timmy ain't reading every post on this thread.

To you PM addicts:

If you want to send someone a PM, and they have it turned off try this:

Go to their profile. In the URL (address) replace 'personalprofile' with 'respondprivate'. Worked for me...
