I believe that your parents would love the change if they were introduced to it. My kids are the ones that talked me away from MSN when @home was installed in my neighborhood. Even some of us older people are in hurry now and then, and get very frustrated having to wait to be connected or a busy signal all the time (AOL please try back later) or what was the the other one I use to get if I dial 3 and for an additional 75 cents they will call me when the lines are open. Come on please help your parents out. Another Parent

Milehigh,

I use cable modem and absolutely love it. Use AOL for one week for trial and did not like it at all and canceled it immediately. hate the slow motion and abrupt interruption. Currently, I am also using a free ISP from my local company. And it's speed is even faster than what I can get from AOL. And they charge 21 sth month, right? I mean, AOL. I have lots of highly friends who are highly educated (MDs, PhDs, etc) and all of thsoe who have ever tried AOL think it's horrible. Yet all of them own AOL stocks until last month when many of them sold. This is funny, and, ridiculous.
