Interesting stuff, this! I don't daytrade in the manner you are strictly talking about here. But, I frequently enter and exit a position in the same day. Most often, I'm in and out in a few days.

My point is that I use a discount broker (Trading Direct). I often use limit orders to buy and sell. Usually at, or inside, the bid or ask. I get filled almost all the time. I don't see what all the fuss is about these SOES, ISLD, etc trades. I just put in an order and get pretty much what I want, almost all the time. I'm not interested in splitting teenies with anyone. And, I never seem to have to.

Am I missing something?
