I think I'm past my biker chick days. <g> I go to the bar that I do to hang with friends and shoot pool. It's pretty much Goth, I guess. They're all mostly quite younger than I am and inspire odd tinklings of maternalness in me. A young friend there had gotten dumped one night and was looking for consolation. He asked me home. I was stunned. "but I think of you like a son. I couldn't do taht." He took it well, and it was a very sweetly worded invitation, and there was no anger on either part. Ultimately, I think he was glad I turned him down. Now taht's the way it should be. At least I'm still in my mother figure years. I dread when I become the granny of the poolhall.
