Had to change my e-mail address twice in two months.

That's why everyone should get their own domain name. It's very easy these days and you don't have to pay for a "hosting" service; you can use a cheap forwarding service (e.g. mydomain.com) in conjunction with your current ISP.

Isn't that the same problem as moving from one house to another, the post office will only forward mail for so long then your on your own. Let us not forget that this is a very minor problem with the net still as new and yes I say small,in our present time. As far as the address book just go and check off to add address when you reply to sender and your receiving party should have done the same.
