Yeah, but you know how IR works...

Day 1, you call in: Yeah, management is comfortable with demand and pricing and we re-iterate the views that we stated in the last cc.
Day 2, pre-announcement: Due to soft industry condition and dropping ASPs, our earnings will be below expectations.
Day 3, you call in: Management is comfortable with demand, but pricing is an issue and we won't make prior analyst expectation of earnings.

Unless, of course, you happen to be an analyst and the company happens to be Compaq, in which case, the statements on day 2 and 3 are reversed...

Is it really credible that u-4 is such a low cost drive or is it just SEG's vertical integration. You have to wonder if they're earning an acceptable return on their companont supply or using world transfer prices which are so low all the suppliers are going broke. -Z
