Apologies, James... and to anyone else who may want clarification on acronyms. You just need to speak up.

MSO = Multiple Systems Operator. These are the large cable TV operators who, over time, either through mergers or clusters of acquisitions, even bartering, have established themselves across diverse serving territories.

You know them collectively as TCI, Comcast, Time Warner, Rogers, Jones, etc. The term MSO usually differentiates these larger players from the smaller independent operators. HTH, Regards, Frank
