Bill, the customer must make a decision before the end of this month if they want to freeze a design that will be in the channels by labor day, the beginning of the Christmas season (yes they brought it back from Thanksgiving <G>).

Bill, You might want to modify your time estimates. Lines 1+2 have been running full-speed for some time now (months). Production 'bottleneck' issues have been fully addressed as well. The last I heard, the engineers were 'busting their nuts' getting the *third* line running at production speed. I would expect they're building inventory from lines 1+2 right now.

And while I share your thoughts about the production manager not being onsite and up to speed until the end of July, say, I agree more with Paul that they don't hire someone like that unless they're already running. They can easily have 2 mos. or more of raw materials present, and have roughed-out their schedules, so they could be running well enough already even before this fellow comes aboard to 'fine tune' the system for them, and adjust as needed according to varying production needs. They don't need him to be 'up to speed' before they ever go to full production.

If you read the job application article with the least attention to detail, you'd see that it was dated MAR 9, 1999, with an expiration date of JUNE 18, 1999. I'm sure the job is already filled and the applicant in training or trained.

"They're are busting their engineers' nuts to get the line working and will be all summer"
The lines are ALREADY WORKING. That was shown in the video as far back as Feb 99. They started "shipping in earnest" (FRB quote) in early JANUARY from production line 1, and in the second place, how would you know it would take all summer? That would assume you had been to the factory and knew what you were looking at.

Why the NEGATIVE spin, Epstein? If you were a real bull, you'd make a "real world" assessment based on what's already known. Enough said.
