George - IMO, what most Americans don't realize and have little interest in, is China's ambitions for Taiwan can soon be exercised. Clinton's adventurous drawing away of our already weakened armed forces from the Pacific rim goes hand in hand with his acquiescence of more advanced military technology to China in the guise of "engagement." Now he has an excuse to back away from any Taiwan confrontation with the Communist Chinese. I've said this before - the Chinese spent their money well when they bought Taiwan from Clinton. Mr. K.
