O.K. explain to me that joke later....

I agree that a simple I am sorry is best...no qualification. It's easy.

I think Cobalt was probably in shock that a buddy would post that list. I would be too.

PS Again you better be careful out there girlfriend!!

<<An unconditional apology gives the recipient an opportunity to weigh its truth and accept or reject it. One followed with a "but" takes away from the genuineness of the apology. After the hoped for acceptance, then the other things can be hashed out.>>

Pretty deep for a grit sucker. How'd you get all them smarts below the Mason-Dixon line?

Okay. Here goes.

Thread, I'm sorry to have gotten all soggy and hard to light on you.

Melinda - I recognize that ethnic jokes appall you,and I promise to be more careful with them. Sorry to have told them around you.

Cobalt Blue. I apologize for posting a list of lawyer jokes to you. I realize that you hate them and I shouldn't have presumed upon your professional magnanimity.

Jp. I read the list poorly and the "kill'em" one didn't even register on me 'til too late. Yes. That was in lousy lousy taste.
As for homosexual humor - I prefer the ones told me by my gay and lesbian friends.

I hope you all can ascribe my much-regretted post to just plain insensitivity - and accept my assurance that no malice was intended.

Once knew an airline that fired a mechanic for refusing to sign off on a defective repair, thought better about it under legal advice and offered him his job back, but said "just don't do it again." That kept damages running when he refused. Cost them $13,000,000 and the airline went into bankruptcy.
