No kidding- I just got a letter from our hospital that starts "We are currently in the process of reviewing all accounts that have an outstanding balance before the effective date of June 1, 1999. In this process we are sending statements to notify patients of their unpaid balance. If you have not received timely statements regarding the above account, please accept our apology." The kicker is our med plan is supposed to be invisible to ME. The hospital and insurance company are supposed to deal with each other- I am not supposed to get bills. So I intend to call them and tell them to go fuck themselves Monday morning, and they can shove their apology up their collective asses.
