I have asked around and have been very surprised at the lack of knowledge about this. So I am starting to wonder whether the expertise is as easy to find as you suggest. I trust you. Refer away if you have any ideas. I have done a good bit of research here and am pretty comfortable that I will be able to separate the wheat from the chaff.

Wash Transactions:

I recently sold a stock at a loss (within 30 days). However, I would like to repurchase the stock without triggering a wash sale. If I purchase the same stock under an IRA account, would the wash sale rule be in effect or is this a way to go around the wash sale?

TIA,
Professor
