for all those folks who can't understand dell's price action.

1. stocks don't normally go up on all news - good or bad.
2. stock prices don't normally appreciate at 2-3 times the eps growth rate forever.
3. dell's growth rate is 40%. it was 60%. will it soon be 20%? i guess the trend is no longer your friend.
4. cpq's problems are eventually dell's problems. cpq is making more and more boxes and will lower prices to sell them.
5. most people don't just buy the best companies and hold them regardless of price. that is just dumb. valuation matters long term.
6. the dumber your investments, the more money you make is not the long term secret to success. some goon who bought amzn or yhoo with their life savings on margin a couple years back is retired (if said dumb person was smart enough to sell - not very likely). there were 100s of goons doing that when it was near $200. those folks just pushed back their retirement. invest smart using money management techniques and don't let greed blind you.
7. just b/c something happened yesterday, last week, last month, last year, etc... doesn't mean it will happen again.

good luck on you investing journey.
