Berney,

Several interesting points.

1) That is why I use Daily rather than weekly MACD to establish trend and intraday for timing entries and exits.

2) MACD can give a clue to identifying if you are in a range trading vs. trending market and one trades accordingly.

3) I have not found stochastics and MACD to be strongly correlated.

Dave

Berney: I think dave_s is trying to help out with a request I made for someone to analyze the Market using MACD. He could not commit to the Web Site, but has been offering up a pure MACD analysis for this thread.

Most all of us use multiple indicators, as no single technique works on its own...none! But, on the Web Site I have asked the TA contributors to base their analysis in the particular technique they are hosting to better demonstrate each.

Regards,
LG
