Interesting. I recall being in discussions with movers and shakers on the Street where, in their professional opinions, a Key West outfit was responsible for shaking out legit MMs such as Sherwood Securities and such by selling more than half the days volume of thinly traded securities and never borrowing nor timely covering.

i.e. they were not short to create and maintain an orderly market, rather they were trading for their own account or the account of certain parties to disrupt a shake out legit MMs.

It was discussed that such "type 1" selling could be hidden by hiding behind large non-hypoticated blocks of stock held in Street Name.

Any truth to the thought about Key West? How do you know so much about this outfit? Why do you seemingly take such a personal viewpoint about who great they are in your eyes? Did you even know anyone who was there as a principal?

Why are you not in the industry any longer?
