Eric,

Why would you daytraders pay $25 per ticket? I don't understand this when there are so many places you can get in for half (or less) than that amount.

I pay $9.95 per ticket, never get partial fills, and usually get my order filled at my limit price. Sometimes I have to wait a while for this, but I usually get it.

If you day trade using a discount broker (Ameritrade), I don't really think you need that much. I started with around 2200 day trading. I'm above 3 in a week at Ameritrade. At 8 bux a trade, your #2 example would work at 1/16 of a move. You wouldn't make much, buy you'd still make.
