It is quite funny watching everyone from Clinton to
Milosevic claim "victory". Of course, if you read
the body language of Bill Clinton you can see that
the guy knows he had to fold his hands and make a deal
with the great Hitler-Satan, or whatever Clinton likes
to call Milosevic these days. If you compare the Rambou-
illet accords to the agreement being put together right
now, it is clear that NATO backed way off on its demands
for complete surrender like they had back in October.
The way I read the deal now is that Yugoslavia gets to
keep Kosovo, keeps NATO troops out of every place except
Kosovo, is still allowed to maintain its border checkpoints
in Kosovo, and is allowed to continue governing the much
fought over province. The only difference between October
and now is that the "Unarmed Observers" are now UN troops
from countries such as Russia. The quagmire continues...
