I do believe that Paul Allen (and Bill Gates) have their estates all figured out with the lawyers and accountants. I also think that the strategy is occurring as we type - all plans have been made. I further think that both PA and BG have 'lieutenants' who are privy to their plans and who can profit from it.
Further along these lines, I think MSFT (and AOL probably) will not look tomorrow like it looks today. GNET has quality content and is set to look like 'tomorrow' rather than 'today.'

Remember, GNET is content which is independent of pipe. In other words, if content is compelling enough, it will be visited regardless of the form of internet access. So the real question is , what if god forbid something happened to GNET management, or if you believe in the one man band scenario, RH? To answer your question, if PA died suddenly as you imply, first it would be an enormous tragedy. We would have lost a generous philanthropist who, among other things, has contributed to the Seattle community (my birthplace and childhood arena). We would have lost a visionary who is out on a limb with his own money attempting to build, as you know, the wired world.
