When Datek is up to speed I've been able to day trade with them. It can be done.

As TJ notes, the rap with Datek has always been the same: they're great when they work.

Have you checked out the SI Datek thread?

nobody:

I use daslinger and I like it. I've been very fortunate day trading
only QQQ with Datek. On a few occasions I'll trade a Nasdaq stock.

I wish Datek would trade before and after the bell with the NYSE, AMEX
and NASDAQ. I've watched a lot of opportunities go by.

Although I'll make 5 to 10 trades a day I do not depend on Datek at
the opening or the close of the market.
