The only problem I have ever seen is where a guy starts out with a day trade and it goes the wrong way. Suddenly he calls it a "position trade".

If it keeps going the wrong way, it then becomes "an excellent long term investment".

Yep. That's the killer "suck you in" Thing. I've never let if get as far as "Long term investment" I have very few of those(the ones I do have don't lend themselves to daytrading-amen).

But by changing the gameplan to a position trade has ended up costing me. Perhaps not that day, but by the time I exit the position, the return on that particular order doesn't amount to the potential I have missed by tring up the capitol I have reserved for daytrading.

And that doesn't even include those position trades where I've added only to lose points.

p.s. I like your dog theory. But maybe I use the neighbors dog. Then I can try to sue him.<g>
