>>During RMBS research, I ran into this Direct RDRAM vs PC133 article. Doesn't look good for RMBS. I was planning to take a position in RMBS but start doubting now. Anyone wants to comment?<<

paul, you asked for comments...
if your rambus research is going to be decided by that poorly written and inaccurate article my suggestion is to keep looking for an investment vehicle.
on the other hand if you are really interested in rmbs may i suggest you go to rambus.com click on partners. then make a list of the 70 technology companies presently involved in transitioning the computer industry to rambus. go to each of their internet sites and do a search for rambus and read.
when you are done, come back here and read all the posts. i know it will take a while. when you have finished that, let us know how many shares you bought. we will then see you at the next shareholders' meeting.
thanks,
unclewest

Paul, about the article, let me say that it does a great job in exaggerating RDRAM's deficiencies and PC133 SDRAM's (and DDR SDRAM's) benefits. I'll even go as far as saying that it's a carefully crafted piece of anti-Rambus FUD.

As for taking a position in RMBS, remember that RMBS is a very volatile stock, prone to wild swings on the craziest of rumors like the false rumor that IBM was going to ditch RDRAM. I firmly believe that RDRAM is going to be the standard of the future, even if we see a sort of VHS-vs-Beta war in the near-term.
