Ref-<You are predicting the future from the past. Good luck >

History may not repeat itself, but to use the old cliche "those who do not know history are condemned to repeat it".

I agree that you cannot predict future stock movements based upon past history, although the technical analysts insist that you can.

However when it comes to performance of people, past history is the best predictor. Believe me, the best predictor of a new employee future performance is his performance at his previous jobs. Thus we can predict the performance of AMD management. So the past history clearly indicates that AMD management will continue to over hype (that is the only way they know to get attention); the management will continue to stumble in execution (always have less resources, and are cutting corners in a desperate struggle to catch-up), and will not live up to the expectations created.

The AMD technical personnel are an excellent lot. But unless several top layers of management are surgically excised, AMD will continue to repeat , you know what !
