Morgan, I am expecting a rally in the markets. In the last little while the sentiment was very negative among those appearing on CNBC and the market still held up. There is a lot of confidence among the individual investors in the market being able to rebound----it has every time. For that reason, i am expecting MSFT to participate in the next little while even if the news from the trial is not that good. If the MSFT lawyers can put on a good showing against the IBM witness, MSFT may actually outperform.
I would say that the stock performance is a mix of the market conditions and the snap shots from the trial.

BTW--I have started to do a lot of trading. MSFT is also getting to be a good candidate. I might sell off some position if we see low 80s and buy back if the opportunity arises. Going close to 100% MSFT is a little too much even on a long term basis and I might have to reduce it by doing some profit taking on my options holdings.--that should get me down to 50% or so, leaving shares only. (Hard to determine the mix of a portfolio but I try based upon what the options contracts translate into shares---and also factor in the share holdings) .
