Well you COULD have been right about poor Michael, especially if Michael had been Michelle. I took Molly on Star Tours and she screamed all the way through it. I pulled my back out trying to hug her, keep my hand over her mouth, and whisper "It's ok honey, almost over" in her ear.

Your trip sounds great. Glad you had a good time. I'm reading "The Magician's Tale" by David Hunt right now. Terrific. Plus it's set in SF with lots of local color. That I like. Now and then I hit a paragraph that I read over and over because the writing is so beautiful and evocative. No one has ever brought to life an SF night any better.

Welcome home Penni, the things we subject young kids too these days are profoundly desensitizing them to a variety of horrors. From 3D computer games, to Nintendo, to television, movies and even magazines. I will have none of it for my kids! The problem though is it comes at you from so many different angles, it's almost impossible to prevent hitting your kids. We dropped our kids off at the home of friends one evening and when we returned they were all huddled around watching the "Black Coldrun". My kids had nightmares for 2 days. Why do we do this to our wonderfully naive, beautifully spirited innocent young children? I'll never figure it out.

People run around screaming about the sky falling in because of the availability of guns. When every study ever done shows a direct correlation between watching violence, and violent behavior. The scenes just get more horrific every year, and so many people act like it doesn't matter.
