Time for a rematch between the NNBM Icebears and the esteemed Voltaire's Porch hockey team!

We're getting old. All I remember from the last match was something like, "SWOOSH, SWOOSH,
SMOOCH, HE SHOOTS, HE SCORES!!!" Even though Murrey is still fit, fiddling and ready, I'm
getting too old for that kind of action. <g>

We're going with "armchair sailing" this time. All you have to do to WIN, is guess the time that
the sailing catamaran, La Vagabonde, arrives in Europe with Greta Thunberg aboard. The deadline
for entries is this Saturday - Nov. 16 @ 4:20 PM MST.

Include the Date and the local time of arrival in Europe. My guess is 5 Dec, 2019 @ 4:20 PM
Local Time (Wherever she makes landfall).

what wears out knees? i think it's all the crouching around as a professional
photographer, looking at all the angles, perspectives, lighting possibilities,
composition, depth of field and other stuff we amateurs don't know about.

either that... or he's been kneeling and praying a lot. <g>

i wonder where coonaz is and what he's up to?

haven't heard from dealie for a couple years at least. she needs to bring us
a pitcher of her sweet tea if we're going to pull up the rocking chairs.

i heard from percival 917 (joel) recently. i think he said he had just done the gnu
knee thing too and was hoping to get back on the links as soon as the gnu knee
was ready. i'm sure it is by now. maybe he can give murrey a consumer review.

ranger rick should be checking in if we stay in the rockers awhile. you should
ring his bell with a post to him cactus.

clapton's_guitar (clappy) is still around NNMB SI Branch once in awhile - he's
a face booker now and i'm not but i got to spend three days with him in october.
golfing and hanging out .he's doing great and as funnie as ever. he needs to slow
his backswing just a tiny bit and rotate his hips a little more. :-)
i had a post from bonnuss this fall with a catchy new username under a free
"pledge" account that allows 5 posts per day. she was relaxed and said something
about cruise ships and international travel. i told her she owed me 5 cents please.

abstract has been missing for years. i'd sure like to get an update from him.
i always love his insider chicago stuff. i was up there for a month last march
but i didn't see him. i didn't get a close look at everyone there though. <g>

Things are well here. Our oldest is in the working world now, and our youngest just finished her junior year in high school. We had the first college tours a couple of months back. University of San Diego seems to be her favorite so far.

Very busy lately. I'm in a 2-3 week binding arbitration right now, living and working out of a hotel room (but able to get home for the weekend). It's a grind.

We still take a cruise every chance we can. Planning it with kids limits the times we can go, but we got away on one for the New Year to the Caribbean.

How are things in your neck of the woods? Hope all is well.

My Dad and my father-in-law fought for that flag and this nation.

My Dad flew in B-17's over Germany in WWII. What courage it took, never knowing if he would return from a mission in one of those things. Many of his buddies didn't.

Mrs. RR's Dad fought for that flag, too. He landed on the beaches of Iwo Jima.

I can't begin to image the horror they went through. Such courage. Such love for this country.

A salute to the greatest generation!

Wish you were here Dad, and Dean, to see your grandsons. You fought for their freedom. They turned out to be fine young men. You would be proud.

From your son, and son-in-law, I love you. I miss you every day of my life.

How have you been?

I just got back from vacation. Flew to Las Vegas with the family. Then drove to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. Then headed south to New Mexico and El Paso, Texas to see the in-laws. I met up with el Polvo for lunch one day. We mentioned each of you here and wondering what everyone is up to. I hope Dealie is doing well. Also wondering what Ranger Rick has been up to. Haven't had a critter report in some time now.

Highlight of our trip was helping out at a soup kitchen with my wife and kids right before Christmas. Gave us a real good feeling, helping those less fortunate. Real proud of my kids. They worked real hard.

We drove back to Vegas, won a few bucks and flew back home in time to bring in the new year.

I hope you all are doing fine.

JPG and I are on Facebook with some of the others here. Are any of you also on there? Let me know and I will look you up.

Deviated Septum means a couple of nights sleep in a vertical position. We had a friend who went through that procedure. Not fun, but short in duration.

Me? I'm 12 plus weeks after my little event, and walking (gingerly) after all that time NOT using the foot. Little tricky to say the least.

This has been the year of the bone for Sally and I. First she had a lumbar fusion procedure in March, and is doing well.

And then, on the first day of my new startup company (Walker Gutter Cleaning Service), my ladder fell out from under me, and I broke my heel.

Still in the recovery process on that one!
