bad things can happen with rice once it becomes a left over.

same day is safest. make it, spread it out on a plate or bowel, stick it in the freezer until cooled, and keep it to the chilly side vs. room temperature.. and for sure move the rice around in the pan. a bit chilly rice tends to not stick.. and sticking should be avoided. you want to seal the grains.

The 2022 death of Amy Eskridge, a Huntsville, Alabama–based researcher, has now resurfaced online as the 11th case in a growing list of scientists who have died or disappeared under unusual circumstances.

Her death has drawn renewed attention after at least 10 other recent cases involving individuals tied to U.S. military, nuclear and aerospace research have prompted questions about whether any pattern exists.

President Donald Trump said Thursday he had "just left a meeting" on the issue and vowed answers within days, calling the situation "pretty serious."

"I hope it’s random, but we’re going to know in the next week and a half," Trump told reporters.

Eskridge died June 11, 2022, in Huntsville, Alabama, at the age of 34, according to obituary records. Her death has been reported as a self-inflicted gunshot wound, though limited official details have been publicly released.

Eskridge co-founded the Institute for Exotic Science and described her work as focused on experimental propulsion concepts, including what she referred to as "antigravity" research.

"We discovered antigravity, and our lives went to (expletive) and people started sabotaging us," she said in a 2020 interview with Youtuber Jeremy Rys. "It’s harassment, threats. It’s awful.

"If you stick your neck out in public, at least someone notices if your head gets chopped off," Eskridge added. "If you stick your neck out in private, they will bury you. They will burn down your house while you’re sleeping in your bed, and it won’t even make the news."

In the same interview, she described what she characterized as escalating pressure surrounding her work.

"I have to publish because it’s only going to get worse until I publish," she said, adding that the situation was "getting more and more aggressive."

In presentations and interviews, Eskridge also suggested that researchers working on unconventional technologies could face pressure to move their work out of the public domain, describing what she saw as a pattern in which scientists who reported breakthroughs would "disappear" from public work or stop publishing.

Eskridge’s death is being cited alongside cases involving retired Air Force Maj. Gen. William "Neil" McCasland, NASA scientist Monica Jacinto Reza, contractor Steven Garcia, astrophysicist Carl Grillmair, Massachusetts Institute of Technology physicist Nuno Loureiro, NASA engineer Frank Maiwald, Los Alamos–linked employees Melissa Casias and Anthony Chavez, NASA researcher Michael David Hicks and pharmaceutical scientist Jason Thomas.

The Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) told Fox News Digital it is investigating the deaths and disappearances.

"NNSA is aware of reports related to employees of our labs, plants and sites and is looking into the matter," a statement from the department said.

At the same time, there is no publicly available evidence linking Eskridge’s death to those cases, and authorities have not indicated any connection between her work and the circumstances of her death.

Her case has also become the subject of speculation in online and alternative technology communities, where some commentators have raised questions about the circumstances surrounding her death. Those claims, however, remain unverified and are not supported by official findings.

Many will gloss this over and think they can make it out of fresh cooked rice, but the texture is all wrong. It took me some trial and error when I was young to figure this out on my own.

What is your preferred method for making "leftover rice"? Sounds silly, but curious. Are we talking yesterday's rice left out on the counter or what?

I remember cooking rice and putting it in the fridge in an open container and stirring gently occasionally to cool and dry it out as quickly as possible and could have passable "leftover" rice in a few hours.

Mixing the eggs in before to get a consistent coating is something that I have never tried, but it sounds good.

i make all kinds of variations, and yes long grain rice is the way to go, pearl rice, way too much starch comparatively....

another method for the eggs I like, eggs/fish sauce (any good brand) just a touch/ super thinly sliced spring onions/ pepper flakes or one - two way thinly sliced thai peppers.. whisk it all up, let it sit just a bit, make very thin crepes, roll them up and slice thinly and stir into the rice while you are refrying it with most definitely a dash or completely with sesame oil. garlic somewhere in all that is a good addition.

to your recipe fish sauce I think would be welcomed and a touch of sesame oil.

but that's the great thing about egg fried rice.. so adaptable, cheap, nourishing, flavorFULL, and nourishing.

glass noodles are another favorite of mine and I think they are really amazing.... picking up flavors, and cooked just right.. which means whoa, not too long period... are incredible.. as the starch to any other ingredients.

PS: I have this amazing recipe for making the red and green curries that go into a super fine amazingly complex Thai peanut sauce. I used to batch make it and then freeze it, but haven't in a while. So totally complex. Peanuts are so under rated in the west. but solid healthy proteins like no other food I think. In this case, finding a good can of coconut milk is such a bitch. so much bullshit when you read the label. I look for Coconut Creame, not Coconut Milk, fyi. A virtual coroner’s inquest examining the circumstances of Heather Winterstein’s death from sepsis in a St. Catharines, Ont., hospital concluded its 12th day on Thursday.
Winterstein, a member of the Cayuga Nation with ties to Six Nations of the Grand River, was trying to get help over two days in the hospital ER unit before she died in 2021.
On Thursday, Dr. Rafi Setrak, regional chief of emergency medicine, testified Niagara Health had failed, "by virtue of the fact that Heather died."
A former peer support worker said a nurse told him Winterstein had been discharged and the ER was too busy to see her. As someone with a history of drug use, he said he could relate to Winterstein.
Family members and community groups have expressed concern that addiction discrimination and anti-Indigenous racism may have played a role in Winterstein's treatment.

Officials with Niagara Health and a former peer support worker provided prominent testimony on Day 12 of the inquest for Heather Winterstein.

Winterstein, 24, died after a lengthy wait in the St. Catharines, Ont., emergency department on the second day she tried to seek help for pain. As an Indigenous woman with personal struggles, she may have been at higher risk in a health-care system with “systemic biases,” the inquest heard previously. She died on Dec. 10, 2021, despite hours of frantic efforts to save her.

On Thursday, Dr. Rafi Setrak, Niagara Health’s regional chief of emergency medicine, was questioned about the doctor who released Winterstein on Dec. 9 after giving her a Tylenol and telling her to return to the hospital if her condition got worse.

Setrak testified the health authority is “committed” to evaluating doctors, but added: "By virtue of the fact that Heather died, we failed.

"The question is, could we have succeeded [in saving her], and how could we have succeeded and what do we need to do to succeed?”

Dr. Kevin Chan, regional chief of staff and executive vice-president of medical affairs, said Niagara Health is constantly trying to improve its policies "and build systems that don't fail people."

Chan noted Dec. 10 was an "extraordinarily busy day" in the emergency department.

The inquest has heard the hospital faced extraordinary demands due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Ryan Pearson, commander of regulatory compliance at Niagara Emergency Medical Services, testified Thursday that call volumes were soaring at the time Winterstein took an ambulance to the hospital on Dec. 10.

Scott Cronkwright was a peer support worker with Niagara HELPS who aided Winterstein during her two days in hospital. He said he had lived experience with drug use and homelessness, so could understand how Winterstein felt.

On the day she died, he found her lying on the floor of the emergency waiting room in obvious pain.

During testimony by a triage nurse, notes presented at the inquest showed Winterstein had been having body pain for six days before she died.

Cronkwright said he’s haunted by the fact he didn't push medical staff harder to get her urgent care.

"This young lady should have been in a bed. I don't think she should have been in the waiting room."

The inquest, which began March 30, continues Friday at 9 a.m. ET. Pearson, the Niagara EMS commander, is expected to resume testimony.
