Message 17105383 It is my understanding that Pakistan has announced that due to the brutal nature of Danny's death they will not release the tape. It is also my understanding that certain individuals in Government and the media have been shown the tape. Where does the right to know stop? Where does the right to know end? Who decides who should or should not see this tape? What would be the reprecussions if the tape where to be made public? What would be the reprecussion if the tape where to be locked away in a vault never to see the light of day? This thread is designed to elicit honest and well thought out information. Some posters on SI have an incredible amount of knowledge in Forien Affairs, Law, Social Science, History ect....... Their opinions would be very welcome. Due to the sensitive nature of this subject, and out of respect for Danny Pearl, please use discretion in forming your posts. I would hate to use the "Moderated" option.
