Very sad, very tragic. I did not know Tim well but I am haunted by the fact that his life went off the tracks and he ended up in that store. One wonders what was going on in his head. We will probably never know. My prayers go out to Tim's loved ones. They also go out to the man who shot him and to his loved ones. Taking a life, regardless of the circumstances, is a difficult burden to live with. thebeverlyhillscourier.com Beverly Hills Robbery Suspect Identified By: By Norma Zager — Courier Staff A suspect has been identified in the attempted robbery and shooting last week at Mirage Jewelers, located at 9469 South Santa Monica between Beverly and Rodeo Drives. The attempted robbery occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m., July 25th, when the suspect Timothy Stefanich, 40 years old, of West Los Angeles, walked into the store and pulled a gun (which apparently turned out to be made of plastic.) He threatened the owner with the gun, and when he dropped his guard, the owner was able to secure his own weapon and thereupon shot the suspect. Stefanich died at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. According to Beverly Hills Acting Executive Media Officer Sgt. Steve Seeger, the investigation is still ongoing and has not yet been finalized. The incident brought traffic in the Beverly Hills business triangle to a stop for hours, resulting in a major traffic jam.

SI - Tim Luke Dead?

[sgunderbarth] Bump for Tim Luke
