I did well on NAN due to early entrance and early exit. Been involved in couple kitchen plays for awhile already but continue with resources as well. Been cashing up getting ready for tax loss season. When everyone else is dumping I will be buying. December is like venture stock garage sale. Pretty much pay what you want if you are sharp with bids. Thats when I bought NAN last year. (TSX VENTURE:NAN)(OTCBB:WSCRF)(CUSIP:65704T 108) (the "Company") is pleased to report new assays from their 100% owned Maniitsoq nickel-copper-cobalt-PGM sulphide project in southwest Greenland including first results from the regional exploration targets. Thirty-nine diamond drill holes and one deepened hole totaling 8,773 metres were completed during the 2014 field season. Results for twenty-three holes are reported in this release including holes completed at the Imiak Hill Complex (IHC) and at the regional exploration targets. The Company is still awaiting assay results from twelve holes.

Highlights from the drill program include:

Regional hole MQ-14-054 (P-058) intersected 1.72% Ni and 0.26% Cu over 5.58 metres. All four holes drilled at the P-058 target intersected high grade massive sulphide veins returning values of up to 6.18% Ni and up to 3.95% Cu.

Regional hole MQ-14-041 (P-149) intersected 0.36% Ni, 0.17% Cu and 0.15 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 23.2m including 3.31% Ni, 0.61% Cu and 0.27 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 0.5 metres in norite-hosted disseminated sulphides. The P-149 (Pingo) target area is located 25 kilometres northwest of the Imiak Hill Complex and outside of the currently defined Greenland Norite Belt.

Regional hole MQ-14-051 (P-004) intersected 0.94% Ni, 0.17% Cu and 0.99 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 4.31 metres.

Assays are pending for disseminated to semi-massive sulphide intersections at the regional targets P-013, P-030 and P-053.

MQ-14-058 (Spotty Hill) intersected two intervals of strongly disseminated sulphides grading 0.52% Ni, 0.16% Cu and 0.18 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 38.65 metres and 0.55% Ni, 0.11% Cu and 0.2 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 10.5 metres within a much larger interval of weakly disseminated sulphide grading 0.28% Ni and 0.08% Cu over 130.56 metres.

Assays are pending for semi-massive and massive sulphide intersections from Imiak Hill, Mikissoq and Spotty Hill.

NAN President and Interim CEO, Mark Fedikow, commented: "I'm really excited by these regional discoveries which are returning high grades of nickel, copper and precious metals and have associated borehole EM anomalies. The Spotty Hill mineralization is returning wide zones of good nickel, copper and precious metal values and new intersections of net-textured to semi-massive sulphides make this a very prospective zone for future follow-up work. The new near surface discoveries at Pingo, that are only 3 km from tide water, lie northwest of the known limits of the GNB extending our area of exploration interest. Similarly, the high grade nickel copper mineralization at P-058 and the disseminated to semi-massive sulphides intersected at P-013, P-030 and P-053 have strengthened the potential of the central and southern portions of the GNB. At the end of the year, with all assays returned, I am confident that we can communicate to our investors and supporters that North American Nickel via its 2014 exploration drilling and geophysical program has identified significant sulphide mineralization along the entire length of the Maniitsoq property."

Assay results have been received for twenty-three drill holes from the Imiak Hill Complex and the regional targets as reported herein and provided in Tables 1 and 2 and Figures 1 and 2. Figures may be viewed using the link provided with this release. Selected drill core photos are included in a recent corporate presentation on the Company's website.

REGIONAL EXPLORATION TARGETS

Twenty-two holes totaling 3,725 metres were completed to test fourteen regional targets located throughout the Maniitsoq property. Assay results have been received for sixteen holes and are pending for six additional holes.

Norite-hosted nickel sulphide mineralization has been confirmed at five regional targets: P-058, P-004, P-149, P-146 and P-136. Drilling at each of these targets was carried out to follow-up initial helicopter-borne VTEM anomalies and, in some cases, to also follow-up nickel mineralization intersected in previous drilling. Results from the drilling and borehole EM (BHEM) surveys indicate that further exploration is warranted at each of these targets.

P-058

Four holes (MQ-14-053, 54, 57 & 59), totalling 505 metres, were completed to test an initial helicopter-borne VTEM target and subsequent BHEM anomalies located near the southwestern edge of the large Fossilik norite intrusion. Historical shallow drilling in this area returned values of up to 2.24% Ni and 0.63% Cu over 12.89 metres.

All four of the 2014 holes intersected remobilized, structurally controlled high grade massive sulphide veins associated with narrow intervals of foliated norite. Best results included:

MQ-14-054: 1.72% Ni and 0.26% Cu over 5.58 metres from 70.6 to 76.18 metres including 6.18% Ni and 0.56% Cu 0ver 0.62 metres and 5.23% Ni and 0.07% Cu over 0.81 metres

MQ-14-057: 1.35% Ni and 0.10% Cu over 1.57 metres from 112.11 to 113.68 metres

MQ-14-59: 2.54% Ni and 2.75% Cu over 1.74 metres from 22.26 to 24.0 metres including 4.19% Ni and 7.73% Cu over 0.45 metres

Borehole EM results and modeling for the P-058 drill holes indicates the presence of two conductive trends related to the mineralization. The high conductance near surface anomaly has limited depth extent but the deeper conductor indicates that the mineralization is open down plunge to the southwest and that conductivity thickness is increasing with depth.

P-004

The P-004 target is located at the southwestern edge of the Fossilik norite body and lies 500 metres northeast of target P-058. MQ-14-051 was drilled to test approximately 50 metres down-dip of nickel mineralization intersected in 2013 in hole MQ-13-018 (0.59% Ni and 0.18% Cu over 32.19 metres including 1.06% Ni and 0.23% Cu over 4.53m). MQ-14-051 intersected a zone of norite-hosted disseminated to net-textured sulphides deeper in the hole which graded 0.94% Ni, 0.17% Cu and 0.99 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 4.31m from 231.14 to 235.45 metres. Included within this zone was a higher grade interval which returned values of 1.36% Ni, 0.25% Cu and 1.46 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 2.65 metres including 2.34% Ni, 0.34% Cu and 0.73 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 1.1 metres. The intersection occurred downhole of the target depth and data interpretation is underway to determine if the intersections in MQ-13-018 and MQ-14-091 are connected.

Two untested off-hole BHEM anomalies detected in the 2013 drill hole, MQ-13-018, lie southeast of the hole and warrant additional follow-up work.

A second hole, MQ-14-061 was drilled 285 metres to the east in an area of outcropping gossanous norite, previously tested by shallow historical holes, but did not return any significant nickel values.

P-059

The P-059 target is located 275 metres northwest of the P-58 target. One hole, MQ-14-055, was drilled to test an airborne VTEM anomaly but failed to intersect the conductor. A borehole EM survey of MQ-14-055 identified two off-hole anomalies located to the northeast and will require further drill testing to evaluate them.

P-149 & P-146 (Pingo Area)

Drill holes MQ-14-041, 42 and 47 were drilled to test VTEM anomalies and gossanous norite in what is referred to as the "Pingo" area located approximately 25 kilometres northwest of the IHC. All three holes intersected norite-hosted, nickel-copper-bearing disseminated sulphide mineralization. Best results included:

MQ-14-041 (P-149): 0.36% Ni, 0.17% Cu and 0.15 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 23.2 metres from 85.35 to 108.55 metres including 3.31% Ni, 0.61% Cu and 0.27 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 0.5 metres.

MQ-14-042 (P-149) : 0.44% Ni, 0.20% Cu and 0.21 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 6.4 metres from 2.1 to 8.5 metres and 0.49% Ni, 0.2% Cu and 0.26 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 3.9 metres from 77.85 to 81.75 metres

The disseminated sulphide mineralization at the P-149 target is characterized by high nickel tenors and elevated precious metal (Pt+Pd+Au) contents similar to Spotty Hill. The linear Pingo norite unit trends northeast-southwest over a distance of approximately 2 kilometres with numerous pods of gossanous outcrop visible at surface. Prior to 2014, no surface geophysics and only one shallow historical drill hole had been completed in this area which lies well outside of the currently defined Greenland Norite Belt.

P-136

The P-136 target is located four kilometres southwest of the IHC. MQ-14-048 was drilled to test a VTEM anomaly in the vicinity of shallow historical holes which intersected norite-hosted nickel sulphides. MQ-14-048 also intersected several intervals of disseminated nickel sulphide mineralization grading 0.21% Ni and 0.09% Cu over 13.17 metres from 45.58 to 58.75 metres and 0.22% Ni and 0.09% Cu over 30 metres from 95 to 125 metres. A BHEM survey of this hole identified several untested off-hole EM anomalies. This area will be further evaluated for future surface geophysical surveys and follow-up drilling.

P-013, P-030 AND P-053

Assays are pending for disseminated to semi-massive sulphide intersected in norite at the P-013, P-030 and P-053 targets.

IMIAK HILL COMPLEX (IHC)

A total of seventeen holes and one deepened hole, totalling 5,048 metres, were completed to test for extensions of the mineralization intersected in previous drilling at Imiak Hill, Mikissoq and Spotty Hill. Assay results were previously reported for five holes at Imiak Hill. Results for five holes and one deepened hole at Spotty Hill as well as one hole at Mikissoq are reported below and assays are pending for five additional IHC holes.

Spotty Hill

Drilling and borehole geophysics at Spotty Hill in 2014 have helped to define the nature and orientation of a broad zone of norite-hosted mineralization which is interpreted to plunge steeply to the southeast. The mineralization consists of zones of disseminated to heavily disseminated and patchy sulphides typically grading 0.5% Ni or greater with internal zones of higher grade semi-massive sulphides. This mineralization is surrounded by a halo of weakly disseminated sulphides typically grading 0.1 to 0.3% Ni. The most highly sulphidic portions (semi-massive sulphides) of the zone can be correlated with moderate to high conductance BHEM anomalies, while the disseminated sulphide mineralization is correlated with a large, low conductance BHEM anomaly. The position of the latter anomaly indicates that the mineralized system is open down plunge to the southeast.

MQ-14-058 intersected disseminated sulphides which are interpreted to be part of the main mineralized zone and grade 0.52% Ni, 0.16% Cu and 0.18 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 38.65 metres from 163.4 to 202.05 metres and 0.55% Ni, 0.11% and 0.20 g/t Pt+Pd+Au Cu over 10.5 metres from 213.3 to 223.8 metres. These intersections are within a much broader halo of weaker disseminated sulphides averaging 0.28% Ni, 0.08% Cu and 0.1 g/t Pt+Pd+Au over 130.56 metres from 116.7 to 247.26 metres.

Holes MQ-14-040 and MQ-14-052 intersected the low grade nickel and copper mineralization (see Table 1) which flanks the main zone of mineralization. MQ-14-044 was collared 300 metres to the south to test a separate EM anomaly interpreted from surface geophysical surveys. This hole intersected pyroxenite and country rocks but no significant mineralization. However, the borehole EM survey from this hole showed an anomaly building to the end of the hole which is interpreted to be related to the Spotty Hill mineralization. MQ-13-022 was deepened to test for mineralization along an interpreted norite-country rock contact and intersected disseminated low grade sulphides as listed in Table 1.

Assays are pending for holes MQ-14-062 and 065, both of which intersected disseminated to semi-massive sulphides which lie within the main Spotty Hill mineralized zone.

Imiak Hill

Assays are pending for two holes including MQ-14-072 which intersected the down plunge extents of Zone 10 (19.5 metres of net-textured to semi-massive sulphides) and Zone 30 (1.7 metres of semi-massive sulphides).

Mikissoq

MQ-14-60 intersected narrow intervals of unmineralized leuconorite and was drilled southeast of the main mineralized Mikissoq norite body which is now interpreted to plunge steeply to the northeast. Assay results are pending for two holes including MQ-14-073 which intersected:

~ 45m of disseminated sulphides; and

~ 5.6 m of net-textured to semi-massive sulphides in norite.

                  Quality Control

Drill core assay results are evaluated as part of a Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedure that includes the use of matrix matched multi-element, certified standards with known precious and base metal values and blank standards to determine accuracy and precision of analytical results. Core sample analysis was completed by SGS Laboratories of Vancouver, Canada. Three methods of analysis were used to determine element concentrations in the rock samples submitted to SGS. These were 1. A multi-element scan subsequent to a four-acid digestion and ICP/ICP-AES finish; 2. Au, Pt and Pd lead fire assay on a 30 gram sample with ICP-AES finish; and 3. Samples with >1.00% Ni or Cu were re-analyzed by Sodium Peroxide Fusion ICP-AES calibrated for ore grade detection limits.

Qualified Person

All technical information in this release has been reviewed by Dr. Mark Fedikow, P.Geo, who is the Qualified Person for the Company, President and Interim CEO, North American Nickel Inc.

About North American Nickel

North American Nickel is a mineral exploration company with 100% owned properties in Maniitsoq, Greenland and Sudbury, Ontario.

The Maniitsoq property in Greenland is a Camp scale project comprising 3,601 square km covering numerous high-grade nickel-copper sulphide occurrences associated with norite and other mafic-ultramafic intrusions of the Greenland Norite Belt (GNB). I still haven't learned to take the money off the table when resource stocks give it to you. I'm more of a buy and hold guy and NAN was the last of my metal stocks. Now It's just the Kitchen for me. I have MBX and PKT too, plus some RX I'm still holding and lots of DAP, COV, IBH and BZI.

[ayeyou] Yeah I caught that 2015 crap as well. Lets deal with 2014 and then talk about next season. I played NAN pretty well and am not in currently as I took my exit at or very close to highs of year. I wont buy in here as poor results will end up with NAN back at 20 cents where I started buying last tax loss season.
I may regret it if those 50 meter mineralized sections come back with good assays. Kitchen is on a tear for sure. MBX and PKT are in my portfolio.

[Sailing2] Thanks. I was put off by the discussion about the 2015 drill program, as if they are giving up on 2014. I suspect others were too. Like many, my attention is over on the Kitchen board these days. I've just about given up on resource stocks except for a few oilies, LOL. Of course the fact I've capitulated on resource stocks is probably a reliable indicator they are ready to rally. Cheers.

[ayeyou] The market is not impressed by much these days. I am in DEC who released a hole with 50 meters of over 15 gram per ton gold and it did nothing for the share price. People are looking for assays on NAN not a news release saying assays are coming. We all know that. However that being said there is some info to be gleaned from the release....Actually this blurb shows some promise...10m to 50m intervals could come back with nice assay numbers. If they do NAN could see previous highs.
Highlights include:

three high conductance off-hole anomalies were detected in a fluxgate borehole electromagnetic (EM) survey of MQ-14-071 at the P-053 target. The anomalies, which are amongst the strongest responses seen on the Maniitsoq property, are interpreted to be related to mineralized norite intersected in the hole.10 to 50 metre intervals of disseminated sulphides hosted in norite at P-149, P-136 and P-030 targets6 metre interval of semi-massive sulphide and 16 metre interval of heavily disseminated to net-textured sulphides hosted in norite at the P-013 targetdecimeter scale semi-massive and massive sulphide veins and stringers over core intervals of up to 5.5 metres associated with norite in multiple holes at the P-058 target

[Sailing2] What do you make of this ayeyou. (TSX VENTURE:NAN)(OTCBB:WSCRF) (CUSIP: 65704T 108) (the "Company") is pleased to provide an update on the exploration activities at its 100% owned Maniitsoq nickel-copper-cobalt-PGM sulphide project in southwest Greenland. Drilling has recently concluded and demobilization of equipment and crews is in progress. During the 2014 field season, thirty-nine diamond drill holes and one deepened hole totaling 8,773 metres were completed. Assay results have been reported for five holes and results for an additional thirty-one holes are pending. Remaining assay results will be reported at regular intervals over the coming weeks.

REGIONAL EXPLORATION DRILLING

Twenty-two holes totaling 3,725 metres were completed, testing fourteen regional targets located throughout the Maniitsoq property (Figure 1). Nineteen holes intersected prospective noritic and gabbroic rocks. Fourteen of these holes intersected sulphide mineralization for which assay results are pending (Table 1).

Highlights include:

three high conductance off-hole anomalies were detected in a fluxgate borehole electromagnetic (EM) survey of MQ-14-071 at the P-053 target. The anomalies, which are amongst the strongest responses seen on the Maniitsoq property, are interpreted to be related to mineralized norite intersected in the hole.

10 to 50 metre intervals of disseminated sulphides hosted in norite at P-149, P-136 and P-030 targets

6 metre interval of semi-massive sulphide and 16 metre interval of heavily disseminated to net-textured sulphides hosted in norite at the P-013 target

decimeter scale semi-massive and massive sulphide veins and stringers over core intervals of up to 5.5 metres associated with norite in multiple holes at the P-058 target

                  IMIAK HILL COMPLEX (IHC) EXPLORATION

Drilling was recently concluded at the IHC with 5,048 metres of drilling completed in seventeen holes and one deepened hole, to test for extensions of mineralization intersected in 2012 and 2013 (Figure 2). Assay results have been reported for five holes at Imiak Hill, and are pending for eleven additional holes from Imiak, Spotty Hill and Mikissoq.

Detailed structural and lithological mapping at the IHC has contributed significantly to the geological understanding of this structurally complex area. Mylonitie zones mapped on surface at Imiak Hill have been projected to depth and appear to correlate with similar mylonite zones intersected in drilling. Initial interpretation indicates the mineralized zones are truncated at depth and additional work is required to better understand the structural complexities of these features at Imiak Hill.

A surface fluxgate EM test survey was completed by Crone Geophysics and Exploration Ltd. on selected lines over the Spotty Hill area in order to evaluate this instrumentation for future use on the project. In addition, fluxgate borehole EM surveys were completed in one hole at Imiak Hill and one hole at Mikissoq.

Imiak Hill Drilling

Seven drill holes totaling 2,445 metres were completed at Imiak Hill to test for extensions of Zones 10 and 30. Assays are pending for one hole, MQ-14-072, which intersected:

a 19.5 metre interval from 170.60 - 190.10 metres of net-textured to semi-massive sulphides, interpreted to be the down plunge extent of Zone 10; and

a 1.7 metre semi-massive sulphide interval of Zone 30 mineralization from 202.75 to 204.50 metres.

Zone 30 is terminated down plunge as a result of interpreted displacement along a mylonite shear zone. Zone 10 was extended an additional 75 metres down plunge from historical drilling, and is structurally terminated at a similar depth to Zone 30. Further data analysis and structural interpretation is on-going to evaluate the mineralization at Imiak Hill.

Spotty Hill Drilling

Seven holes and one deepened hole totaling 2,057 metres were completed at Spotty Hill with assays pending for six holes. The Spotty mineralization plunges steeply to the southeast, as interpreted from both drilling and borehole EM, and consists of:

wide zones of disseminated sulphides with internal zones of more highly conductive, semi-massive sulphides

Borehole EM surveys indicate that the mineralized trend is open in a down plunge direction and more drilling is planned for this area in 2015.

Mikissoq Drilling

Three holes totaling 546 metres were completed at Mikissoq for which assays are pending. Two holes intersected mainly gneissic country rocks and are interpreted to be have been drilled off the plunge of the mineralization. A third hole, MQ-14-073, intersected mineralized norite including:

a 45.6 metre interval from 57.75 to 103.41 metres consisting of disseminated and fractured filled sulphides; and

a 5.6 metre interval from 112.93 to 118.56 metres of net-textured to semi-massive sulphides.

Borehole EM surveys indicate the semi-massive sulphide intersection is located slightly above and right of the main mineralized horizon, which is interpreted to be plunging steeply to the northeast.

NEXT STEPS

The Company is pleased with the progress made in 2014 on this early stage exploration project including expansion of the Spotty Hill and Mikissoq mineralization at the IHC, and significant new sulphide intersections at several regional exploration targets. In addition, new geological and structural interpretations are contributing to a better understanding of the geological model.

Based on the success of the current exploration program, the Company anticipates another robust exploration program in 2015 consisting of drilling, airborne and ground geophysics, regional prospecting and geochemical sampling, and an expansion of detailed structural and lithological mapping.

I would have expected that with the Crones EM they could target their drills to get optimum returns. If this is the best they got then they better hope that Spotty Hill or P013 come through. The resource sector these days is demanding superior results and these results are less then superior. It is very early in a big campaign so lots of potential yet but as I said I thought the Crones would be a better guide then these results show.

[I_C_Deadpeople] Hardly worthy of a halt...

[Sailing2] What do you think of their NR? The Company is also pleased to provide an exploration update for the Imiak Hill Complex (IHC) and from drill testing of regional exploration targets. The 2014 drilling program began in mid-June with one drill rig located at the IHC and a second regional drill rig added in early July. A total of 6,954 metres have been completed in thirty-two holes to mid-August.

Highlights to date from the drill program include:

Drill hole MQ-14-037 at Imiak Hill which  intersected a zone containing high grade massive and semi-massive sulphide veins  grading 3.07% Ni and 0.53% Cu over 11.03 m with  the strongest interval grading 7.04% Ni over 0.64 metres;

First intersections of semi-massive sulphides veins from Spotty Hill;

Regional drill program defines 4 new locations of sulphide mineralization including discoveries at:
P-013 containing zones of heavily disseminated to semi-massive sulphides;

Pingo (P-149) with intervals of disseminated, patchy to net-textured and stringer sulphides; and

Camp Area (P-136) with disseminated sulphides.

Intervals of semi-massive to massive sulphide veins in several holes at Fossilik.

NAN President and Interim CEO, Mark Fedikow, states: "The 2014 exploration program is progressing well and we continue to intersect nickel sulphide mineralization at both the IHC and regional exploration targets. The intersection of semi-massive and massive sulphide mineralization at Spotty Hill is very encouraging and enhances the grade profile of this sulphide zone. At Imiak Hill, mapping has outlined numerous mylonite zones and the projection of these structures into the sub-surface is helping to understand the controls on sulphide distribution. In addition, new sulphide intersections at a number of our regional exploration targets continue to provide evidence of a large magmatic event with related nickel sulphide mineralization. I look forward to the future assay results from Spotty Hill's semi-massive to massive sulphide intercepts, P-013's mineralization and the other strong regional discoveries."

Assay results have been received for five holes completed to test the down plunge extent of the Imiak Hill mineralization as reported herein and provided in Table 1. Figures may be viewed using the link provided with this release: media3.marketwire.com

IMIAK HILL

Five holes (MQ-14-035 to 39) totaling 1,558 metres were completed to test for extensions of the high grade nickel mineralization intersected at Imiak Hill in 2012 and 2013. All five holes were collared from the same set-up in order to maximize logistics and were planned to test the mineralization at distances of up to 60 metres down plunge the southern extent of the zone (see Figure 1).

MQ-14-035 was drilled to test down plunge and up-dip of previous hole MQ-13-028 (see news release dated November 7, 2013) but appears to have gone over the plunge of the mineralized zone. This hole intersected a wide zone of norite-hosted disseminated sulphide grading 0.18% Ni and 0.06% Cu over 39.36 metres from 165 metres, similar to disseminated hanging wall zones intersected in previous drilling.

MQ-14-036 was drilled to test down-dip of hole MQ-14-035 and intersected a mylonite zone from 264.79 to 266.93 metres. A narrow semi-massive chalcopyrite-rich stringer grading 0.39% Ni and 19.8% Cu over 0.10 metres was caught up within the mylonite zone and is interpreted to be a disrupted edge of the mineralized zone.

MQ-14-037 was drilled to test down plunge and slightly down-dip of hole MQ-13-028 (see news release dated November 7, 2013). This hole intersected a zone of semi-massive and massive sulphide veins and stringers grading 3.07% Ni and 0.53% Cu over 11.03 metres from 220.51 to 231.54 metres including 6.48% Ni and 0.29% Cu over 3.25 metres and 7.04% Ni and 0.25% Cu over 0.63 metres. This intersection is slightly offset to the east of the main zone of mineralization and may represent a second parallel sulphide lens which correlates with the southern end of a very strong electromagnetic (EM) anomaly detected in the borehole survey of this hole.

MQ-14-038 was drilled to test down plunge of hole MQ-14-037 and intersected a massive sulphide vein grading 6.07% Ni and 1.35% Cu over 0.60 metres from 228.95 to 229.55 metres. The sulphide vein occurs within a mylonite zone and is interpreted to be the disrupted edge of the targeted sulphide zone. MQ-14-039 was drilled to test down-dip of hole MQ-14-037 and intersected a fault from 262.1 to 265.45 metres, near the target depth. No significant mineralization was intersected in this hole.

Drilling completed to date, in combination with recent mapping carried out by out by Dr. John Fedorowich of JFSG Consulting, has helped to further define the geometry, nature and controls on the mineralization. The main sulphide lens consists of semi-massive and massive pyrrhotite-pentlandite-chalcopyrite within a steeply south plunging shoot, which is intersected by a mylonite at depth. A second parallel sulphide lens is interpreted to lie immediately to the east of the main lens but requires more drill testing to define its extents.

In addition to the drill program at Imiak Hill, nine holes and the deepening of one hole for a total of 2,394 metres has been completed at the Spotty Hill and Mikissoq (Imiak North) areas for which assays are pending. Multiple holes at Spotty Hill have intersected sulphide mineralization including wide zones of disseminated sulphide and at least one southeast plunging shoot consisting of semi-massive and massive sulphide stringers and veins. Drilling at Spotty Hill continues to test high conductance borehole EM anomalies as well as the down plunge extents of the mineralization. Only two holes have been completed at Mikissoq and both holes intersected country rock gneiss. Additional drilling and borehole EM is planned to try and determine the plunge direction and extent of the mineralization intersected in previous drilling.

REGIONAL EXPLORATION TARGETS

Eighteen holes totaling 3,002 metres have been completed to test twelve regional exploration targets located throughout the Maniitsoq property (see Figure 2). Sulphide mineralization has been intersected in fourteen of the eighteen holes designed to test targets in the Fossilik, Pingo, Camp and P-013 areas for which assays are pending. Highlights include:

P-013 target (MQ-14-066):

New discovery of multiple intersections of norite-hosted heavily disseminated to semi-massive sulphide over core lengths of approximately 0.5 to 6 metres within a broader mineralized intersection of approximately 131 metres.

P-149 target, Pingo area (MQ-14-041):

Discovery of a 50 metre long zone of norite-hosted disseminated sulphide (1-5%) including a 0.5m interval of patchy to net-textured and stringer sulphide (10-20%) at the downhole extent of the disseminated zone.

P-136 target, Camp area (MQ-14-048):

Discovery of a 42 metre long zone of norite-hosted disseminated sulphide (3-5%)

Fossilik area (MQ-14-053, 54, 57 & 59):

Narrow (centimetre to decimetre scale) semi-massive and massive sulphide veins occurring over core intervals of up to approximately 4 metres.

Borehole EM surveys have been completed in thirty-one of the thirty-two holes drilled to date. Interpretation and modeling of EM plates is on-going and is being used to plan follow-up drill holes. Geological mapping at the IHC and Fossilik was carried out over a two week period by Dr. John Fedorowich of JFSG Consulting and assisted by NAN personnel. The results of this work include outcrop geology maps and 3D wireframes of structures and mineralization and will be used in ArcGIS and GEMCOM modeling to assist in understanding the structural complexities of the mineralization and to plan future drilling.

Quality Control

Drill core assay results are evaluated as part of a Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedure that includes the use of multi-element, certified standards with known precious and base metal values and blank standards to determine accuracy and precision of analytical results.

Mark Fedikow, P.Geo, who is the Qualified Person for the Company, President and Interim CEO, North American Nickel Inc.(WSCRF)

About North American Nickel(WSCRF)

North American Nickel (WSCRF) is a mineral exploration company with 100% owned properties in Maniitsoq, Greenland and Sudbury, Ontario.

The Maniitsoq property in Greenland is a Camp scale project comprising 3,601 square km covering numerous high-grade nickel-copper sulphide occurrences associated with norite and other mafic-ultramafic intrusions of the Greenland Norite Belt (GNB). The logistics of getting the core sent down for assay will be a factor in the timing of getting assays back though but my suspicion is this uptrend in volume and price today is not without an underlying reason. Leakage in core visuals or assay grade is not unusual these days and if one guy sees an assay or great looking core his friends soon know about it.
Something is afoot!!

[Sailing2] NAN's chart looks terrific. (TSX VENTURE:NAN) (OTCBB:WSCRF) (CUSIP: 65704T 108) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the commencement of regional exploration drilling of mineralized norite targets and a focused mapping program at their 100% owned Maniitsoq nickel-copper-cobalt-PGM sulphide project in southwest Greenland.

Drilling continues at the Imiak Hill Conduit Complex (IHCC) with one drill rig and a second drill rig is now testing regional exploration targets. A total of 3,000 m of exploration drilling is planned to test approximately fifteen widely spaced targets located throughout the Maniitsoq property. The targets have been identified from compilation and analysis of the Company's airborne, surface and borehole electromagnetic surveys as well as historical geological data and include the Pingo target area located 25 kilometers northwest of IHCC and the Fossilik target area located 8 kilometers southwest of IHCC. Anomalous nickel sulphide mineralization is known to occur at both Pingo and Fossilik from surface sampling carried out by the Company as well as from historic exploration results. Drill testing of regional targets is a key element in the Company's efforts to identify and prioritize prospective sulphide-bearing noritic intrusions for more detailed exploration.

Concurrent with the drilling, a mapping program is being carried out over the IHCC and Fossilik areas by John Fedorowich of JFSG Consulting (Sudbury). Dr. Fedorowich has over 20 years of experience carrying out structural analysis and mapping on a wide range of international sulphide deposits. Detailed outcrop and structural mapping will be completed to further define the geometry, distribution and geological setting of the known sulphide mineralization and to understand the structural controls. Results of this work will be integrated with the on-going collection and modeling of geological, geophysical and drilling data in the IHCC and Fossilik areas.

(TSX VENTURE:NAN) (OTCBB:WSCRF) (CUSIP: 65704T 108) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the completion of surface geophysical surveys and identification of electromagnetic and gravity anomalies at the Company's 100% owned Maniitsoq nickel-copper-cobalt-PGM project in southwest Greenland.

Surface time domain electromagnetic (TDEM) and gravity surveys were initiated at the Maniitsoq project in mid-April and were completed in mid-June. The surveys were carried out by Crone Geophysics of Mississauga, Ontario and focused on two areas, the Imiak Hill Conduit Complex (IHCC) and Fossilik, where previous drilling intersected significant Ni-Cu-PGE mineralization (See Figure 1).

Preliminary TDEM results indicate the presence of EM anomalies correlating with both existing mineralization and also representing new geophysical targets. Preliminary gravity results indicate that gravity anomalies exist in both the Imiak and Fossilik areas and correlate with noritic intrusions identified from both surface mapping and drilling. Several of the known nickel-copper occurrences are empirically observed to occur at the margins of these gravity highs.

NAN President and Interim CEO, Mark Fedikow, commented: "The 2014 exploration program is well underway and completion of the surface geophysical surveys over the IHCC and Fossilik areas is an important component in our exploration strategy. The addition of gravity surveying this year represents a valuable new tool for exploring the Company's large Maniitsoq property where noritic intrusions occur over a 75 km strike length. Identification and correlation of gravity highs with two of the known mineralized norite intrusions in the belt indicate that gravity will be very useful in mapping the subsurface extents of mafic and ultramafic intrusions and in helping to understand the distribution of related nickel-copper sulphide mineralization".

TDEM surveying totaling 87 line km have been completed in the IHCC and Fossilik areas located in the central portion of the Maniitsoq property. Data interpretation and modeling are in progress and results are being used to target both follow-up drilling as well as define new targets for potential drill testing.

Gravity surveys were completed over the IHCC and, based on favorable results, an additional gravity survey was carried out over the Fossilik area. In each area, the surveys consisted of a core of gravity readings at 50m stations on 200m line intervals surrounded by more widely spaced readings typically on 500m centers. Gravity readings were taken at a total of 944 stations. The preceding comments are based on initial data modeling and inversions.

At the IHCC (see Figure 2), several gravity highs are observed to be coincident with, or flanking, the mapped and interpreted norite outcrops. Gravity inversion modeling shows one of the gravity highs to be coincident with the mineralized Spotty Hill norite intrusion. This gravity high extends south of the current Spotty drilling and also extends to the northwestward towards the Imiak North area. Another larger more complex double lobed gravity high lies in the immediate vicinity of the mineralized Imiak Hill norite intrusion. One lobe of this gravity high extends south of the Imiak Hill drilling and the other lobe lies to the NW.

At the Fossilik area located 9 km southwest of the IHCC (see Figure 3); gravity surveying identified a large ~1.5 km x 2.5 km gravity high which is coincident with the Fossilik norite intrusion. Surface nickel occurrences and nickel mineralization intersected in historic drilling and past drilling by the Company are observed to lie at or near the southwestern and western margins of this gravity high.

Data interpretation and modeling are on-going but results to date indicate that gravity data will be a useful tool to aid in mapping the sub-surface extents of the target noritic intrusions, particularly as compared to the magnetic data where correlation of anomalies with norite intrusions is less consistent. Additional images of the gravity inversions may be viewed on the Company's website.

The >75km-long belt is situated along, and near, the southwest coast of Greenland, which is pack ice free year round.

The Post Creek/Halcyon property in Sudbury is strategically located adjacent to the past producing Podolsky copper-nickel-platinum group metal deposit of KGHM International Ltd. The property lies along the extension of the Whistle Offset dyke structure. Such geological structures host major Ni-Cu-PGM deposits and producing mines within the Sudbury Camp.

Statements about the Company's future expectations and all other statements in this press release other than historical facts are "forward looking statements" within the meaning of Section 27A of the Securities Act of 1933, Section 21E of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and as that term defined in the Private Litigation Reform Act of 1995. I am sure he is taking NAN drilling into consideration on that buy but I am hearing rumors of impending T/O offer by Hudbay for VMS in order to consolidate ownership of the Reed Mine. Something is shaking there for sure.
NAN has done the typical fall back while waiting for drilling and assays and sadly the company has done little to appease impatient shareholders. Where are the Crones results they promised us in July??? I peeled some NAN in high fifties and put money into VMS . Still have the exposure to drill results and the possible T/O as an added bonus. If we dont get some news soon from NAN I could see it leveling off at about 45 or 46 cents in couple weeks.

[Postman] VMS insider buying report.... Nobody else is spending up to $10M this year.

____________________________________________________________________
FULL ARTICLE FOLLOWS

Rick Mills' Econ 101—Rising Demand and Falling Supply Equals Higher Metals Prices

Source: Kevin Michael Grace of The Mining Report (7/1/14)

http://www.theaureport.com/pub/na/rick-mills-econ-101-rising-demand-and-falling-supply-equals-higher-metals-prices

Juniors can't fund their projects, which means that the majors' reserves will continue to shrink. Rick Mills argues that this process can have but one result: higher metals prices across the board. In this interview with The Mining Report, the owner and host of Ahead of the Herd.com highlights a half-dozen gold, silver, copper and nickel companies that will leverage these high prices, and introduces us to a Canadian company's unique cobalt project in Russia.

The Mining Report: Last month, the price of gold rose over 3% in one day. Can we ascribe this to the conflicts in Ukraine and Iraq or the unraveling of Chinese commodity financing deals?

Rick Mills: I don't think those things had anything to do with it. The unraveling of Chinese commodity financing deals was mostly about copper. While the situation in the Middle East is certainly affecting the price of oil, I believe that Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen has more to do with the price of gold than anything else going on in the world today.

TMR: You're referring to her press conference of June 18?

RM: Yes. She confirmed that the tapering of bond buying will continue, but more important was her announcement that the Fed's zero interest rate policy will continue. Real interest rates are going to remain low for a while yet; that news caused gold's price to increase. Below is a chart created by U.S. Investors. It shows in stark clarity the relationship between real interest rates and gold's price.

TMR: Many goldbugs believe gold and silver prices are manipulated downward by central banks. Do you agree?

RM: No, I don't. I almost wish it were true. If it were, I could sit back and play the markets knowing exactly what was going to happen next. This claim of manipulation is just an excuse for being constantly wrong. It's a business model to sell gold off your website and expensive newsletter subscriptions. Learning about sector rotation and macro events will make you a much better investor than clinging to conspiracy theories.

TMR: Do you have any thoughts on where the prices of gold and silver will go in the second half of 2014?

RM: Higher sooner rather than later. That goes for copper, nickel, tin, zinc and pretty much any mineral. It's a question of supply and demand. Junior resource companies own the world's future deposits. They buy claims from prospectors, work the projects and advance them to where they are bought by larger companies. And these mining juniors cannot get funding. So how will the majors replace their reserves? The answer is that they can't. It's just a matter of time before metals prices react to physical shortages. Think about it, when was the last time you heard of a major mining company making a discovery?

TMR: You've written at length about rising global scarcity of resources. What effects will this have on metals prices?

RM: We live on a planet with a finite resource base with a growing population. We reached 7 billion people in October 2011. The United Nations says we can probably expect upward of 10 billion people by 2050. Other reports claim that world population will reach 11.4 billion by the 2060s. Norman Borlaug, the father of the green revolution, said if we do everything that he has shown us, and there are no black swans, the earth could support 10 billion people at most.

Ecological overshoot is coming. Our freshwater aquifers, probably our most important treasure, are being sucked dry by industry and unsustainable drybelt agriculture, and poisoned at the same time through fracking. We're rushing headlong into shortages of resources and the resulting conflicts over them. The low-hanging mineral fruit has been picked. Metallurgy is becoming more complicated, energy is becoming more expensive, and labor shortages loom. The baby boomers are starting to retire en masse, and the resource-orientated talent pool is thinning out.

At the same time, massive urbanization is ongoing in Asia and Africa. As people there move into the cities, they climb the protein ladder and eat more dairy products and chicken and beef. They get cell phones and maybe a washer and dryer, air conditioning and a motorcycle. All this puts an enormous strain on supply. Metals are going to get much scarcer, and prices are going to get very dear.

TMR: You've also written about the return of economic imperialism. Do you foresee superpowers invading countries to secure resources, or will they apply pressure indirectly?

RM: I like Lenin's take on the morphing of early 19th-century imperialism that he called monopoly capitalism—an alliance between big business and banking capital that dominates the state to gain exclusive control of raw materials and control of foreign markets. And both direct and indirect pressure are being applied. Russia has applied force directly in the Crimea and is applying it directly and indirectly in Ukraine. Look at what China is doing to the other stakeholders in the China Seas and what the U.S. did in Libya for control of both water and oil. Countries need to access secure sources of minerals, energy and just basic materials. If they don't, we can expect more Arab Springs, even in developed countries.

TMR: When we last spoke, you noted the significantly higher cost of new nickel and copper projects. Where do we stand a year later?

RM: Things have gotten worse. We have not seen the demand destruction that would facilitate a drop in prices, and we're not going to.

Even after the unraveling of Chinese commodity financing deals, copper is still over $3 a pound. If you're searching for new copper deposits, you must go farther and farther afield into dangerous country.

Nickel is the same. Indonesia, one of the biggest suppliers, has decided to stop exporting raw ore. Nickel comes increasingly from laterites, and the metallurgy just doesn't seem to work on them. As a result, cost overruns are ballooning out of control.

TMR: Which nickel projects are your favorites?

RM: As far as I'm concerned there's only one, North American Nickel Inc.'s (NAN:TSX.V) Maniitsoq project in Greenland. (VMS:TSX.V)?

RM: They're two separate companies, but there is a lot of synergy. Mark Fedikow is the CEO of North American Nickel and also VP Exploration at VMS. John Roozendaal runs VMS now and is on the board of North American Nickel. VMS owns 22% of North American Nickel. The Sentient Group, a $2+ billion resource fund, owns close to 50%. I don't think that VMS really affects North American Nickel; it's the other way around. VMS stands on its own. I don't know too many companies out there right now that have 30% of a high-grade copper mine—a commercially operating copper mine by the way—and 22% of Maniitsoq, what could be the greatest Canadian exploration story since Voisey's Bay.

TMR: Do you worry that environmentalists could attempt to fence off Greenland as "the world's last great unspoiled wilderness?"

RM: You should talk to the people of Greenland and ask them what they want. That sort of talk more amuses me than anything else. It's easy to preach about freezing somebody else's economic development when you already enjoy a high standard of living. I think most Greenlanders understand that when you have natural resources, you need to exploit them responsibly for the betterment of all.

Greenland has one of the world's best reporting and permitting systems. Work is going ahead.

TMR: You mentioned that VMS owns 30% of the Reed copper project in Manitoba. Tell us more about that.

RM: HudBay Minerals Inc. (HBM:TSX; HBM:NYSE), which owns 70%, has formally declared commercial production at Reed. Right now, 100% of the cash flow that VMS would normally get is going back to pay the no-interest loan that HudBay made to carry it to production.

VMS has something like $5M in the treasury now. It is looking for an acquisition, a close-to-mining scenario. VMS is going to be doing some exploration work on its 100%-owned properties, but VMS needs to conserve cash until the Reed money starts flowing in. I know John Roozendaal. He's a miner and as solid as they come.

TMR: When will VMS start getting its share of the cash flow from Reed, and how much will that be?

RM: Initial estimates will be a year and very substantial monies flowing to VMS. Let's get a couple quarters of production under our belt and talk then.

TMR: Richard Mark resigned as CEO and chairman of VMS June 16. Is this significant?

RM: I don't think so.

TMR: Which gold juniors do you like?

RM: I like two. I'll start with Cangold Ltd. (CLD:TSX.V). Bob Archer is CEO of Great Panther Silver Ltd. (GPR:TSX; GPL:NYSE.MKT) and Cangold. Cangold just closed a $750,000 financing. It was oversubscribed by $100,000, so now the company has $850,000+ in its treasury. That's enough for the summer and fall program at Guadalupe de los Reyes in Mexico.

TMR: What are Cangold's plans there?

RM: The company is going to get geos out to the site and structurally map the high-grade system. Cangold is going to re-log the drill core, send it out for assays, do a bunch of sampling and remodel the whole thing. There are 428 holes in the property; 48 are core holes. The rest would be reverse circulation.

Guadalupe is a quartz-vein system with visible gold. It was mined as far back as the 1770s. Cangold has an option to acquire 100% of it from Vista Gold Corp. (VGZ:NYSE.MKT; VGZ:TSX). Vista has put a half-million ounces through a scoping study, and Cangold will pay $5M in staged payments over the next three years to acquire 70%, with $3M to buy the last 30%.

TMR: How valuable is Bob Archer's track record to Cangold?

RM: I got into Great Panther at $0.38/share a decade ago and watched it rise to 10 times that. Bob and his team have 10 years of operational experience in Mexico. They took on Guadalupe because of the 500,000 ounces (500 Koz) of gold there, plus 10 million ounces (10 Moz) of silver. It's open pit now, but because of their experience at Guanajuato and Topia they think they can do a combination of open pit and underground.

Tetra Tech completed a preliminary economic assessment in March 2013 that contemplated a 35 Koz gold producer from open pit only. I think Cangold can bump that up to maybe as high as 50 Koz gold equivalent annually. That would be equal to Great Panther's production level. Cangold has a tight share structure, and I think it's got a hell of an upside when gold starts to rise.

TMR: What's the second gold junior you like?

RM: Terraco Gold Corp. (TEN:TSX.V).

TMR: Could you explain this company's relationship with Barrick Gold Corp. (ABX:TSX; ABX:NYSE), Midway Gold Corp. (MDW:TSX.V; MDW:NYSE.MKT) and the Spring Valley gold project in Nevada?

RM: This is a project that has just gotten a lot more interesting. Spring Valley is a joint venture between Barrick and Midway. Barrick's the operator with 70% interest and Midway has 30%. Barrick is fast-tracking this and being extremely aggressive in advancing it to prefeasibility. It is going to spend $8.3M in 2014 for project development and $5M for further exploration. This is a resource of 2.16 Moz gold Measured and Indicated and 1.97 Moz Inferred for a total of 4.13 Moz gold. Terraco has bought a net smelter return (NSR) of up to 3% on claims covering the vast majority of the currently outlined Spring Valley deposit.

TMR: Does Barrick's spending of that much money suggest confidence that the deposit can be expanded?

RM: Yes, it does, which makes Terraco's NSR worth even more. But that's not all. Terraco owns a project called Moonlight, which is located at the north end of the Spring Valley project. North of Moonlight is Renaissance Gold Inc.'s (REN:TSX) Fourth of July project. Renaissance just signed an exploration agreement with Sumitomo Corp.'s (8053:TKY; SSUMF:OTCPK) U.S. subsidiary Summit Mining Exploration to earn up to 70%. If you picture it on a line, on strike, you've got the Rochester mine, Spring Valley, Terraco's Moonlight and Fourth of July. So what we have is Terraco's Moonlight property sandwiched right in between Barrick and Sumitomo. Plus Terraco has the royalty on Barrick, and 864 Koz gold at its Almaden project in Idaho. You can see why I'm pretty excited about Terraco.

TMR: Turning to silver, do you still like Great Panther?

RM: Yes, I do. The company is producing from two mines in Mexico: Guanajuato and Topia. This gives it upside to a rising silver price, as well as lead and zinc. Great Panther has an advanced project, another production story, at San Ignacio and exploration projects at El Horcon and Santa Rosa. You've got pretty much the whole works with Great Panther.

TMR: How are its production costs looking?

RM: Going to get better. There is additional ore coming from San Ignacio; the company forecasts about 250 tonnes a day by the end of 2014. This increases throughput at Guanajuato with no further capital expenditures. The updated San Ignacio resource estimate was 121 grams per ton (121 g/t) silver and 2.28 g/t gold. Great Panther's leverage to a rising silver price is hard to beat.

TMR: What effect has the new royalty/tax regime had on miners in Mexico?

RM: The cost of doing business, mining, in Mexico has risen; there's no doubt about that. So much will depend on what happens to the price of silver.

TMR: Is there a silver explorer you're keen on?

RM: Kootenay Silver Inc. (KTN:TSX.V). It has 76 million shares fully diluted. Its Promontorio project in Mexico has a Measured and Indicated silver-equivalent resource of 92.4 Moz; there's a very large gold component to the resource. Its Inferred resource is 26.8 Moz for a silver-equivalent total of 119.2 Moz. Considering its share structure, you're actually buying 1.5 silver-equivalent ounces for $0.30. That's about as good as it gets when you're talking about leverage to a rising silver and gold price.

Promontorio is currently one open pit, with Kootenay still drilling and trying to increase the size of the deposit. On the same piece of property Kootenay has a very exciting early-stage silver exploration project called La Negra. It's an open-pittable heap leach. It's a breccia, which is a diatreme pipe, and it forms a very prominent hill with some 120 to 130 meters of relief. The bedrock has been exposed and mapped. Kootenay flew geophysics over, and results suggest that it is at least twice the size of what is actually exposed. The results are pretty damn impressive—it's got some size and it's right on surface.

TMR: What's Kootenay's path to production at Promontorio?

RM: Kootenay is doing a $2.5M financing for more development work and drilling. Kootenay is at its low. You'd buy because you believe silver and gold are going to turn around. This is contrarian investing. You're supposed to buy low and sell high, right?

TMR: Which so-called critical or strategic metal is most interesting to you?

RM: Right now, cobalt. I think a lot of attention is being focused on this metal, and rightly so, with Tesla's "Gigafactory" talk. There's no cobalt production in the U.S., and I personally don't believe there will be any. Investors will have to start looking farther afield. In Russia, for instance.

TMR: What's the cobalt company you like there?

RM: Global Cobalt Corp. (GCO:TSX.V), which will complete the resource report for its Karakul cobalt project. It is going to come up with an NI-43-101-complaint resource estimate that the Western media is going to accept. That's pretty exciting. I think we're going to see an upward revision in its share price now.

TMR: It's quite rare to hear about a Canadian mining company operating in Russia.

RM: It's special, all right. It's actually in the Altai Republic, which is about as far from Moscow as your big toe is from your heart. Global Cobalt has the full cooperation of the Republic's government. The World Bank is in there. It has Chinese backing, and the Japanese are there, too: Panasonic. China is signing the offtake agreements for this. There are not a lot of companies in China or Russia I would invest in, but this is certainly one of them.

TMR: Junior miners saw a big surge in share prices last winter. Then there was a big fall off. Might we see another surge this year?

RM: We're not going to stop using metal; we're not going to suddenly stop valuing gold and silver as precious. Majors do not find the worlds mines, juniors do. Juniors' share prices have to go up; the sector has to revive for majors to replace mined reserves.

TMR: Rick, thank you for your time and your insights.

Rick Mills is the owner and host of www.Aheadoftheherd.com and invests in the junior resource sector.
