I figure I'll do the same for this small semiconductor company that I believe has a big future ahead of it also. Maybe karma will strike twice! My background is Power Electronics (I'm an EE) and Silicon Carbide (SiC) and Gallium Nitride (GaN) are the future of power semis. Navitas is the only pure play SiC & GaN company on the market right now. About Navitas Navitas Semiconductor (Nasdaq: NVTS) is the only pure-play, next-generation power semiconductor company, founded in 2014. GaNFast™ power ICs integrate gallium nitride (GaN) power and drive, with control, sensing and protection to enable up to 3x faster charging, 3x higher power density, up to 40% greater energy savings in half the size and weight of legacy silicon chips. Complementary, industry-leading GeneSiC™ power devices are optimized high-power, high-voltage and high-reliability silicon carbide (SiC) solutions. These wide band-gap (WBG) devices are revolutionizing the world of power electronics in terms of efficiency, performance, size, cost and sustainability. Diverse applications stretch from 20W smartphone chargers to 20kW EV chargers, and on to 20MW grid-infrastructure systems. Over 185 Navitas patents are issued or pending. Over 50 million GaN units have been shipped with zero reported GaN field failures, and Navitas introduced the industry’s first and only 20-year warranty. Navitas is the world’s first semiconductor company to be CarbonNeutral®-certified. Navitas’ GaNFast brand is used to promote consumer fast chargers, with www.ganfast.com dedicated to fast and ultra-fast mobile chargers from 20W to 300W. They were up 165% for the year as of Thursday's market close. This performance is despite the company reporting a sharp fall in revenue in the recent quarter. However, Navitas' long-term prospects are improving following a recent partnership with Nvidia.

Why Navitas' best days are ahead

Nvidia recently named Navitas as a power semiconductor partner for building next-generation data centers. The partnership with the leader in artificial intelligence (AI) chips validates Navitas' leadership in specialized products, such as Gallium Nitride (GaN) power integrated circuits, used for power conversion and control.

While third-quarter revenue fell 53% year over year, this decline is somewhat intended. Navitas is currently transitioning its focus away from selling low-margin products in consumer markets to more profitable opportunities in supplying specialized components for the AI data center market.

Navitas believes it has enormous growth potential ahead, as leading U.S. hyperscalers turn to GaN and high-voltage silicon carbide (SiC) technologies to address the need for more power efficiency. The company is not expected to return to revenue growth until at least 2027, so investors shouldn't expect quick gains. But looking out five years and beyond, this semiconductor stock could offer significant upside as it transitions to selling into the high-growth AI infrastructure market.

finance.yahoo.com

[Lou Weed] Yes - I'm retired now but spent the last 20 years of my career in the Wide Bandg...

Yes - I'm retired now but spent the last 20 years of my career in the Wide Bandgap semi arena (primarily SiC devices). Congratulations on the validation. I had a trade in it a few years ago stopped out at modest profit. The NVDA news in the spring put it in play but today's news kind of makes it momo squared setting up interesting ST-IT potential, and maybe even LT as AI and other tech bubbles play out. My current position is based on original NVDA news and modest from the 5s avg built over time.

Instead of playing the could of, should of, would of game, I'm content with my position in it but likely have to treat it as a hot momo potato now which demands more of my attention to play it well. :-) Good luck to you, Sir.

[Lou Weed] Yes sir - thanks for posting to the thread! Navitas will introduce the latest GaNFast™ and GeneSiC™ products to the European audience, including new Gen-3 Fast SiC for high-power and higher-speed performance, plus GaNSafe™ – the world’s most protected GaN power devices.

Navitas will present the following on April 17th:

“3.3 kV SiC MOSFETs Accelerate Grid-Connected Energy Storage,” Dr. Ranbir Singh, EVP GeneSiC

Synopsis: The grid supplies energy from generators and delivers it to customers via transmission and distribution (T&D) networks. In the U.S., the use of electricity storage to support and optimize T&D has been limited due to high storage costs and limited design and operational experience. Recent improvements in storage and power technologies, however, coupled with changes in the marketplace, herald an era of expanding opportunity for electricity storage. SiC inverters will revolutionize electricity delivery, renewable energy integration, and energy storage. It is well-recognized that silicon-based semiconductors have inherent limitations that reduce their suitability for utility-scale applications.

“Bi-directional circuits open up new opportunities in off-grid applications,” Alfred Hesener, Senior Director Industrial and Consumer Applications

Synopsis: Bi-directional circuits are critical to effectively smooth the supply/demand variation in renewable energy applications. In the past, they were expensive to make and complex to implement in power electronics applications. Wide bandgap GaN power ICs with integrated drive and advanced circuit functions deliver easy-to-use, reliable, high power density, and functionality for power factor correction circuits, solar inverters, and solid-state circuit breakers.

To meet with Navitas at PE International, contact eurosales@navitassemi.com.

Navitas Semiconductor (Nasdaq: NVTS) is the only pure-play, next-generation power-semiconductor company, celebrating 10 years of power innovation founded in 2024. GaNFast™ power ICs integrate gallium nitride (GaN) power and drive, with control, sensing, and protection to enable faster charging, higher power density, and greater energy savings.
