ALL, Optek makes gallium arsenide based magnetic and fiber optic sensors for the automotive and telecommication industries. Earnings forecast for 1997 is $1.36 per share. Stock closed today at 12 3/4 on light volume. Current P/E is 9.4 I'm interested in anyone's feedback on Optek. They had problems a few years back but cleaned up their balance sheet, introduced several successful new products, realigned their costs, and have seen strong revenue and earnings growth since 1994. Earnings are forecasted to be down slightly from 1996 due to an expiration of tax loss carryforwards but still very solid. Stock seems extremely undervalued currently but am I missing something? Let me know what you think. Regards, Steve | ||||||||||||||
