SonoSight (SONO), Handheld ultrasound for the masses
An SI Board Since April 1998

SonoSight is being spun off from ATLI on April 6. Their business is to produce revolutionary handheld ultrasound instruments that doctors will use (and buy) like stethoscopes. The technology is in place, first model to come in a few months, volume production projected to start in 1999. There is no competition that I know of yet in sight, though some companies allegedly are working on it. Anyone out there interested in talking about its prospects?
