Emerging Company Report; Business Telecommunications Service and Transaction Automation Featured
Hollywood, CA-Emerging Company Report, the nationally syndicated television program which profiles emerging-growth companies (http://www.emergingcompany.com), features interviews this week with the people behind Telefficiency Corporation (OTC-BB: TTFC) and Sims Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: SIMS)
Telefficiency Corporation President and CEO Michael Burnet described his company as being in the high-technology telecommunications business, “ but our product is good, old-fashioned customer service. The giants, namely AT&T (NYSE: T) and MCI (Nasdaq: WCOM) are concerned with controlling the lines in and out of homes and businesses. Mark Bennett, President and CEO of Sims Communications, Inc. announced a strategic alliance had been entered into with Bergen Brunswig (NYSE: BBC), “a $14 billion company”, said Mark. Sims also announced it had signed a letter of intent to acquire the assets of MedCard Management Systems' Inc. Ron Pizzolo, President and CEO of MedCard explained the MedCard medical insurance processing system enables a doctor's office to process an entire month of insurance claims in one hour. “The process of handling medical insurance billing is the single largest logistical problem facing the health care industry”, said Pizzolo. Sims' transaction automation ATM terminals are in 600 fast-food outlets and a McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) test showed consumers spent up to 53% more in the restaurant when a Sims' terminal was available. “With the system of Medcard and the alliance of Bergen Brunswig, the elements of the Sims' business operation is now complete”, said Bennett.

Mustang Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: MSTG) is a true turnaround story. “We went from having 150,000 customers, to zero customers”, said CEO Jim Harrer. Now we are getting calls from companies like GTE (NYSE: GTE) and Lucent (NYSE: LU) asking us to buy our products”, said Harrer.
Planet City Software, Inc. (OTC-BB: PINC) says it has the $49.95 solution to the Year 2000 problem or Y2K. The company announced on the television program, a contract with America Online (NYSE: AOL), wherein AOL's millions of users will be able to test their PC for compliance online while browsing AOL.
