Flame Petro-Minerals Corp. Announces Acquisition

SEATTLE, Jan 11, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Flame Petro-Minerals Corp.
(OTCBB:FPMCF) wishes to announce that a private company, LinuxWizardry,
Inc., has been acquired.

LinuxWizardry, Inc. has commenced building a Linux-based, low-cost
router that provides a simple drag-and-drop JAVA user interface for
configuration protocol routing called the "LinuxWizardry Router."

The LinuxWizardry router will be presented at the Linux World
Conference and Expo in New York on February 2-4, 2000. Michael
Carpenter, a software engineer and previous owner of LinuxWizardry,
Inc., will remain Chief Information Officer in charge of all future
Linux projects including the Linux low-cost router project now
underway.

Mike Carpenter, CEO of LinuxWizardry, states that "my goal is to build
a Linux-based low-cost router at a fraction of the cost of Cisco
Systems." (Nasdaq:CSCO, a current leader in router technology.) Cisco
sales for the year 1999 were reported at 13 billion dollars.

The benefits of the LinuxWizardry router are reported to be:

-- Low Cost -- Due to the fact that the router can be produced at an
extremely low cost, as it utilizes off-the-shelf personal
computers technologies and readily available hardware.

-- User Friendliness -- The LinuxWizardry router has a sophisticated
graphical configuration screen for ease-of-use. Future versions
of this software are expected to be able to control other Network
devices such as routers, products from Cisco and firewall
products.

-- Product Size -- The LinuxWizardry router would be contained in a
package of less than 1/2 cubic feet with a distinctive form
factor making the product instantly recognizable.
