This was much more than an attack on New York. It was much more than an attack on Washington. It was much more than an attack on America.. It was much more than an attack on Freedom.. It was an attack on Civilization itself! It was an attack on the beacon of civilization. That shining light that never goes out. And never will! May I get specific here? This was an attack on Cancer Research. We are involved in just about every cure ever discovered. This was an attack on Modern Farming. We feed the world. This was an attack on Space Exploration. We lead the world in exploration of the universe. This was an attack on Care for victims of earthquakes, floods, droughts and other natural disasters. Because these are the kinds of things as a free society with a lot of luxury we have devoted ourselves to do.. We are among the most compassionate people on the face of the earth. Because this was an attack on all we do. All the good we do in the world. The things we endeavor to achieve for the human race were attacked. Not just our economic system. Not just those twin towers. Not just our capitalist way of life. This was an attack on men and women living together as equals. This was an attack on children as our future. Not as our future suicide bombers. This was an attack on Medical Research on heart transplants. This was an attack on AIDS Research. This was an attack on Judism, Christianity, Buddism and this was an attack on Islam. These fanatics that did this are not in my estimation the typical Islamic people. Every group has it's extremists. These people are trying to highjack their own religion just as they highjacked our Airplanes.. They are trying to inflame Moslem tensions just as they inflamed our infrastructure. It's time for the great religious leaders of a great religion to lead their people or they are going to get sucked up along with the highjackers and their accomplises.. Civilization is waiting for their answer. Because civilization is what's under assault here. And I think this is something for the most part is understood and agreed with.
