Current price: 8 1/4

Key Marvel Comics titles (Iron Man, Avengers, Captain America, and Fantastic Four) are undergoing a dramatic change in artists. Marvel is christening this event "Heroes Reborn." A new team of marquee artists - Jim Lee, Rob Liefield, Scott Lobdell, and others - are about to put out a new series for each of the titles. Sales should be spectacular, perhaps comparable to the X-Men #1 and Spider-Man #1 releases, which sold millions of copies each.

After losing key artists a few years ago and suffering slow sales as a result, Marvel now has a solid strategy to grow its publishing division. Near its 52-week low, the stock is a bargain. My twelve-month price target is 16.

Philip
