I am going on an 8-week journey . . . an actual competition to lose the most weight amongst my friends. There is money involved as well as pride. I recently won a 4-week best-beard competition with the same group . . . so I'd like to keep the winning streak alive! I have battled with weight my entire adult life (now 52) and have decided that NOW is the time to WIN! With motivation of beating my friends and making money, I AM going to do it this time. I am using this board as my journal. I will post here what I eat every day and my weekly weigh-ins. Today we start ... at 264. I don't care about BMI or "healthy" foods or anything like that. I believe that most fat is healthy and most carbs are not. I will eat and exercise according to my beliefs and THIS will be the 8-week test. If successful, I will continue for life. FOODS: water, eggs, beef, chicken, pork, fish, cheese, kale, spinach, tomato, creams, . . will add here as I do. AVOID: sugar, wheat, grains, processed, fructose PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I pray that my health grows but my weight does not . . I pray that I and others can learn from this journey . . I pray, Lord, that through me in all I do shines your great Light. In Jesus' precious name I pray. Amen.
