Return to 2002 Canadian Stock-Picking Challenge

This challenge is open to all Silicon Investor Members.

Prize: Bragging rights for 2002. Who will be SI's Guru of the year for Canadian stocks in 2002?

Here's what you need to do:

1) Pick 1 stock that trades on the TSE or VSE that has a closing price of $1.00 or higher on the last trading day of any month. 1st picks have to be submitted by Dec 31st 2001.

2) Each entrant wll be deemed to have bought $20,000 worth of that stock. (only whole shares, decimal portions will not be used)

3) You can sell your pick on the last day of trading in any month and replace it with another stock.

4) I will keep a running tally on each Challenge entrants net worth after the last trading day of each month.

5) If you miss getting in at the start of the challenge you can still get in but not to the end of any given month.

6) Any stock that drops below $1.00 will be stopped out @$1.00 and at the end of the month entrant can make another pick.

7) Your pick may be long or short.

Let's have some fun with this and hopefully we all benefit with some great picks and ideas from the entrants.
