WELCOME to the board. If you have a passion for trading stocks, can follow a few guidelines and can check your ego at the door - you are at the right place.
We want this board to be productive for those of us that take our trades and the markets very seriously and have limited time to post or read. Here are few guidelines that will help this board be more productive:
- Keep you post and replies on topic. This can include stock pick ideas, market commentary, topics that can influence the market and anything that you feel will make us some money or a better informed trader. - When posting keep in mind that some of us dont have time to read every post. If it is a new subject start your post out with a few words that give a general idea of what the post is about. If you are replying to a post please start your post with the same general heading as the original. If the tread begins to wonder off the original topic, adjust the heading to better reflect the new subject. - Keep in mind that some of us trade in different time frames. What might be a good day trade may be a poor candidate for someone that usually holds their trades for a few days or more. Day trades usually dont work well on a message board so it might be good to only post about trades that you would possibly hold overnight or longer. Long-term "investment" trades are also welcome as are "short" sales. - Please dont post stock symbols just because you saw them on some gurus list. We all read and pick up symbols but its the research behind the stock that we care about but often dont have time to do. When giving a stock idea at least post a short sentence of why you like the trade. - Dont take anything too personal. Because we are professionals and take trading seriously, we welcome all opinion that is sincere although it may be contrary to our own opinion. In stock trading there are usually two or more sides to every idea. We make better trades by practicing our objectivity.
All suggestions for making this a more useful board are welcome.
