Return to SRUN : STARUNI CORP -- Hot new ISP in California

Check this one out. I dont follow these ISP providers but I am familiar with one other in California...and that is Protosource Network [PSCO] their shares held strong at around 5 bucks and are steadily advancing despite the fact that they still dont show any profit.

I believe Staruni Corp will be one of the next big winners. They have been marketing their low cost dial up service throughout Southern California on radio and television and are beginning to experience tremendous growth. They plan to expand throughout the state this year.

The following is taken from the last news release:

The company, a 3-year-old ISP, has recently expanded its calling area to virtually all of Southern California. It now has local access numbers from Santa Barbara to San Diego, to Palm Springs. Staruni plans to have local access numbers throughout California in the first half of 1999.

''With increased advertising, Staruni could exceed 50,000 members by the end of 1999,'' stated Bruce Stuart, chief executive officer.

The company will also offer low-cost DSL access, frame relay and T-1 connectivity for businesses.

In addition to Cyberhotline, Staruni provides e-commerce solutions; operates Internet Web sites for online shopping, and information and directory services through whattup.com; and hosts many other Web sites offering an array of products and services.

I spoke to the president and he said that they will definitely be a reporting company. I also spoke to one of the employees and can tell you that he was totally upbeat about the company.
