Return to Lewis and Clark: Corps of Discovery

This is the bicentennial of the most documented and analyzed exploration in the North American Continent, and one of the most outstanding adventures in history.

Here are some links to help Lewis and Clark afficianados link up to their favorite subject.

Added 23 February 2006 at SnowShoe's suggestion, a link to some very fine and historically accurate paintings by Ken Brauner. I have trapped and hunted in some of these very places, and I can vouch for their authenticity. You can visit the site depicted in "Lewis and Clark at Lolo Creek" and see the exact place where they had their cook fire and latrine, which is the only archeologically confirmed campsite of the entire trek: kenbrauner.com

Here is one link that I'm sure will prove to be controversial (after loading the page, do a find on "Lewis" -- the references are way down at the bottom of a long list): ravenholt.com

I hope that people with interest in this amazing adventure will converse with each other and participate fully. I don't care about off-topic conversation, but if any mean talk or potty mouth comes out there, this subject will become moderated.
