i believe that precious metals, oil and their stocks are just about to soar. it is getting harder and harder to keep track of the good stocks and the arguments for or against owning them on the boards. hopefully, this board will be a partial answer to that problem.
this thread is an attempt to reference which resources stocks some SI posters like or warn against. it is different from most threads in that i consider the header to be the most important part of the thread. one can look at the header and see if they’d like to do some more dd on a certain stock, and whose posts to search for.
i won’t list stocks that are taken directly from any newsletter as that wouldn’t be fair to the author or the subscribers. however, if a poster likes a stock for his own reasons, and doesn’t mention any newsletter or author i’ll list it.
i won’t be listing stocks that are liked for day trades and short term technical reasons. posting a news release won't get it listed either.
i won’t be listing stocks that were recommended long ago and are no longer followed on the boards.
a minus in front of a stock or poster, means that the poster doesn't like that particular stock.
if for any reason any poster doesn’t want his or her name on the board please write a post here saying so, and i’ll take your name off and won’t put it on again.
IF YOU WISH TO CONTRIBUTE TO THIS THREAD..
you can made recommendations for stocks that i will put in the header as long as you post a good reason why you like the stock. saying you ‘just bought’ the stock isn’t enough…
AND..
Find other poster's posts in which they name the stock they like and the reasons they like it, and post the stock symbol and the poster who likes it AND a link to that post in the first line of your post. i'll then add it to the header.
please don’t pm me with your recommendations though, as i want to keep everything in the open and that is what the board is for.
also, i'm only listing symbols and without the exchanges they trade on. i'm not going to attempt to keep up with changes of exchanges, only symbols.
i want this to be a passive gathering of information. i think it will work better if we just gather the info that is already posted on the boards rather than asking the poster additional questions. i am very grateful to posters who take the time to contribute any information. and i hope that no one pesters them in any way.
this is just an experiment. i don't know if it will work or not. i'll try to keep the board up to date, but don't be too disappointed if i'm a few days late with an up date.
also keep in mind that posters may like or dislike stocks other than the ones listed with them. this can't be an exact science. in general, most posters only make a strong case for one or two stocks but there all always exceptions.
for the time being i'm going to limit the posters i list to level 10 and over with a few exceptions. i won't list stocks that are getting pumped without merit, but i will list stocks that are getting pumped with merit. it will have to be a judgement call on my part, and i'm sure that i will make a few mistakes.
