Original start date: January 1999; discontinued: March 2003. At that time, SI was just in its 4th year and only 26% of US homes had internet service. Meanwhile, we racked-up over 50,000 posts. It was a great time for day-trading - and lots of $$$ was made. However, after the dot-com crash of 2002, it was time to move on. So, we'll see if this Thread can be resuscitated and become a source for big winners again.
Please post your best picks, and tell us why you like each stock (news, chart pattern, technicals, insider buying, analyst ratings, etc.). Then, we'll form an index with the best performers.
There were some fantastic "member picks" posted here 13-16 years ago such as:
AMZN, AMGN, FFIV, NVDA, ORB, ONXX, SNDK, SINA, VSAT, WOOF, CMCSA and many, many more that skyrocketed. Of course, a huge percentage didn't survive as well.
